I just found this page in my Kindle app. I had no idea it had this feature. I really have been making an effort over the last year to make time for reading and it shows!

This is an interesting little paragraph concerning the origins of The Pledge of Allegiance. I had no idea that it was a result of the World‘s Columbian Exposition. This book is thorough but not boring. It has been a pleasure to read so far. Just hope I can speed through the second half before tomorrow‘s book club meeting!
This was chosen for my book club for August. I had already picked up this paperback copy on sale several months ago, so I‘m actually prepared!
This is a re-read for me, but my book club picked it for our next meeting. It‘s been a while though, and I was a teenager when I read it. I‘m curious to see how I feel about it as an adult.
pickJust finished this three hours ahead of my book club meeting. The book surprised me from the start. It was not the story I was expecting when I picked it up. And what an ending, finding out Aunt Flo killed him. I have met Joshilyn before at a conference and have been meaning to pick up something by her for ages. I will definitely read anything else by her, because this was a great read.
The house was an altar with ten thousand attendants, big, small, servicing, attending, in choirs. But the gods had gone away, and the ritual of the religion continued senselessly, uselessly.

This sign reminded me of one of my favorite reads. I love to laugh out loud about grammar and punctuation.
I really liked this little picture book. I was very afraid of the dark as a child, so I identified. Also, love Klassen as an illustrator.
