New year, new #BookSpin list 😊
@TheAromaofBooks
First day back at work after two weeks off 😟 But one of my co-workers gave me a really nice birthday present 😊
It was slow for about the first quarter of the book, with too many characters to keep track of, but once the different storylines started to come together it was really interesting although the ending was a little disappointing.
I'm a bit behind on #BookSpin as this was my July book.

This book had everything, it was a rollercoaster of emotions, it even made me cry about half way through and it's very rare that a book makes me cry. I loved everything with Nikolai and Zoya plus the cameos from several characters from other books in the series. The ending really set it up for another book which I hope will happen sometime in the near future.
Finished it and loved it! Glad I already bought the sequel so I can carry straight on with it, I need to know what happens next!
Just as great reading it the second time! Now I can finally read King of Scars.
1. My goal for the year is 30, I'm just about to finish my 16th book of the year.
2. There's a few series I want to get finished, Grishaverse (Leigh Bardugo), Hedgehog Hollow (Jessica Redland) and Shopaholic (Sophie Kinsella)

1. Yes, Terry Pratchett
2. No, I don't think so but I have done it deliberately
3. Middle-earth
I have next week off work, my plans mostly consist of reading The Time Machine for June #BookSpin, then re-reading The Crooked Kingdom and eating way too much chocolate ice-cream! 📚🍫🍦
Finished re-reading one of my favourite books. I first read it about six years ago and it's just as good as the first time with the added bonus of having read the Shadow and Bone trilogy so there's a few references that are more meaningful reading it this time.
A really interesting read, it covers her childhood and early stage career. I'm looking forward to reading the follow up book that covers her movie career (Mary Poppins is one of my all time favourite movies!)
Really loved the trilogy and there's quite a bit different from the TV series, so it still had some surprises to enjoy. There's not enough Nikolai in the final book though!
Currently re-reading Shadow and Bone, read it ages ago but hadn't gotten around to getting the other two, so treated myself to the box set recently after watching (and loving) season 2 of the TV series.
Brilliant book, really heartbreaking and Death as the narrator gives it a very unique prospective.
I got all three books I wanted for Christmas 😊🎄🎅
Really enjoyed this book, one of the best I've read this year. Gives a really interesting insight into Hollywood movies and TV of the 1960s and 1970s.
Not as many as I would have liked, but still pretty good.
I may have slight Bridgerton obsession! 😂 Watched the TV show over Christmas and started reading the books last week and just finished the second one, normally I take a break between books in a series, but I couldn't wait. Book 2 focuses on Anthony, my favourite character from the show, and I loved it! Now, can I resist the temptation to go straight on to book 3?!
Got a couple of the books I wanted for Christmas 🌲 😊
I've been watching several of Dan Jones's history documentaries recently, which are very good so I thought I'd check out the first of his books. Great book, I didn't know much about the time period before so it was really interesting and I'm looking forward to reading the followup book, The Hollow Crown.
I love my e-reader, but I've still got a huge pile of physical books to read and I've been wanting to read this one for ages as it's one of my favourite period dramas. I'm enjoying it so far.
Getting in the mood for Christmas with another enjoyable book in the Wynbridge series by Heidi Swain. 🎄☃️
I'm on track to complete my Goodreads Challenge this year, I'm three quarters complete with three months to go. 😊
Is it too early to start on my Christmas books I want to read this year?
I've spent so much time reading for the last couple of months that I've forgotten to post about the books I'd finished. The best of which were Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and The Flatshare. I've nearly finished The Flame Bearer which is the 10th book in one of my favourite series, The Last Kingdom.
Just realised I didn't post last week about finishing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, loved it, definitely my favourite of the series so far 😊
Not enjoying this lockdown, obviously, but it has given me plenty of uninterrupted reading time 😊 I've been meaning to read this one for ages, I'd heard it was a great book and I completely agree, I really enjoyed it.
First book finished in 2020 :) Really good book, looking to reading the final book in the trilogy.
I just need to finish the book I'm currently reading and I will have completed my Goodreads Challenge and I may have time to fit in another one before the year is over as well. 😊
Currently reading another Christmas book, whilst listening to Christmas music. This is definitely my favourite time of year. 😊🎄🎅❤️
The first half of the book was rather slow and I got a bit bored with it, but I enjoyed the second half as it much more interesting with several surprising twists.
Getting in the mood for Christmas! 😊🎄🎅❄️
1. Peter Crouch - How to be a Footballer
2. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
3. The Lake House by Kate Morton

One of the good things about my new e-reader is I can download ebooks from my local library so I thought I'd give Harry Potter a go and I quite liked it. I've put a hold on the second book, so I can read it as soon as it becomes available.
I'm loving my new e-reader, I've finished two books so far. The Lake House was brilliant, I couldn't put it down and A Vintage Summer was a nice summery feel good book.
My birthday present to myself has arrived! 😃
This is a brilliant book, Randy Travis has had a really eventful life with so many ups and downs. This is a really moving and inspiring book.
Looking forward to the TV series so wanted to read the book first, and I really enjoyed it.
I treated myself to some new books this week whilst I had a week off work.
