I pulled this out and Lane informed Nina and I that he had "already read that in Kindergarten..." then proceeded to spoil the whole plot ??? We enjoyed it anyways! #raisingreaders #scarathlon #teammonstermash @StayCurious

Does your library have Kanopy? This is a Great program for kids! It is also great for people who rent movies from the library.
Letting Kanopy read some Halloween books to .e to get those #scarathlon points for #TeamHendrix!
This was sort of like a Halloween just-so-story. I had an audio copy of it, but would definitely have preferred a print one with the illustrations.

1. My mom always made me costumes that could also tie in with our school's storybook parade (which I---or rather she---always won). This year was The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
2. I don't remember many Halloween books from childhood. Maybe the tagged one or Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.
Did you do Halloween as a child, @LoriTP ?

Another batch of Halloween books I read today.
🎃Duck and Goose was adorable with fun artwork.
👻Splat was cute as always.
🎃J is for Jack O'Lantern is a great book offering background information on Halloween history and traditions geared towards young readers.
My favorite was The Little Old Lady. Timeless story that is perfect to read with little ones this time of year.

This F book is great for a S in the classroom. An old lady went on a walk and as she walked different types of clothing would appear in front of her and she would tell them go away I am not afraid of you but she would always walk faster. For the storytelling you can be each thing that comes up to her and you can do the stomp, wiggle, clap, and so on that the book tells you about. Thought I‘d listen to some audios for #scarathlon while doing a puzzle today and found this cute Halloween story on Libby. We had done this as a story walk a few years ago, and it‘s still fun! 6pts for #teamslaughter for being directly related to Halloween and participation point.

I always loved reading this one to my kids when they were young!
Don't make me choose! Love them both!
Cozy
Hayride - as long as I have my allergy meds
Hot cocoa (although I'd never turn down cider either!)
Pumpkin patch #falltimefavorites
Tailgating because...
Football!
This is one of my favorite children's fiction books! Being a music ed major, this book provides tons of opportunities to incorporate instruments into the story. I've done a lesson where kids play drums and shakers on certain parts of the book. Even read aloud as a story, it's great for Halloween! I found a link for the script where a teacher did readers theatre. ❤ http://www.timelessteacherstuff.com/readerstheater/LittleOldLady.pdf #UCFLAE3414sp17
