Sophia has lived in Tokyo since she was 11 years old and now she only has 7 days left before she moves back to the states for her senior year.

I loved how much the characters in this book loved Tokyo. There were a lot of moments were I didn‘t like Sophia and her friends but they always owned up to their actions or when they treated someone terribly and it made me like them more.

This was the perfect light summer read.

“You‘re terrifying the way a book is right before it ends. You know? When you have to put it down because it‘s too much to take in at once.”

I know this feeling all too well! It‘s a love/hate relationship. 😆

Anyone else know this feeling?

hermyknee I do! I just read a book called Seven Days of Us. This is not the same book. I thought it was when I first saw your post and was like, “hey I don‘t remember that part!!!” 5y

Forgot to post my #Octobermostanticipated for #uncannyoctober This isn't my usual genre but I'm excited for a book that romanticizes my current city. I got a signed copy from a local bookstore for my birthday 🎂 #Tokyo #signed @RealLifeReading

I read Seven Days of You a few days ago and absolutely adored it! I cannot believe the luck I've been having with YA romances these last few weeks, but I'm very happy about it, I must say! I will be reviewing this one soon, and then hopefully I'll get to read Truth or Dare before the month is up too🙌🤗

I read an ARC and LOVED it! A fun contemporary that would make a lovely beach read. It's out now (and, tbh, has probably been out for a while but I lost track of time). #recommendsday

These are the books I need to read tonight. Or at least by the time I leave for a lunch date tomorrow. The restaurant is right by the library so might as well return them while I am out. So I will be having a YA Saturday night and may have to put on some INXS cuz this song is stuck in my head (not that I am complaining). #needyoutonight #melodicmay

Sweet YA romance. It felt a bit rushed in parts but the description of life in Tokyo, the realistic way the heroine deals with the changes in her life and the incredibly sweet/awkward way the romance progresses is just lovely. #romantsy

A cute contemporary that has a sense of urgency since the main character is only in Tokyo for one more week. I just wish the author developed the setting of Tokyo a bit more as not many YA reads take place there and it has so much potential.

I've been avoiding writing this review I think because I can't say all I want in 451 characters so here's the short version: I think a lot of people will really like this book. I'm not sure everyone will love it with the same feels I had because somehow Cecilia Vinesse dove around on my brain and heart and crafted a book that hits pretty much all of my favorite things. ❤ A rare(ish) GR five star review from me.

I think it is impossible for me not to love a book that references Howl's Moving Castle. Cherry-on-top is that the movie is what initially creates the bond between the MCs. ❤

thegirlwiththelibrarybag Seems like enough of a reason to add it to my TBR (and to dig out my DVD copy of Howl's Moving Castle) 8y
MarriedtoMrT @thegirlwiththelibrarybag I've watched it so many times but it's been awhile and I'm now in need of a re-watch myself! 8y

"You're terrifying the way a book is right before it ends. You know? When you have to put it down because it's too much to take at once. You are the most terrifying person I know."

I know *exactly* that feeling and boy is it such a great comparison to the feelings of a strong crush.

I'm desperately in a mood for all things sweet, and this book hit the spot. I liked it for the pacing, characters that you could invest in, and the underlying and ever present love of the city of Tokyo.
