Here are my two #Roll100 picks for March. The Choices We Make by Karma Brown, and Pack Up The Moon by Rachel Herron. Thanks again to @PuddleJumper for hosting! 💖
Perhaps it was because my dad died so suddenly and so young that I felt more protective of life, less willing to take risks. Or perhaps I was always that way; stepping out of the familiar and comfortable wasn‘t easy for me.
Quick, emotional read about the moral dilemmas we face over infertility, surrogacy, adoption, and the right to life. 2.5⭐
I hit somewhat of a reading slump in April so only ended up reading 7books. I had 2 five star reads (choices we make and I liked my life) and the rest were just 3-3.5 stars. #aprilreads
I love reading while there's a baseball game on (even if it is the Giants 😝👎)
Starting this today
My pickup from the library yesterday. I've never read anything by Hoffman so hopefully it's good.
A beautiful story about love, loss, heartbreak, hope, and family. This one made me tear up more times than I like to admit, truly a beautiful story.
Ok I can't be the only one, these deckled edges are driving me nuts! Please stop interfering with me freely flipping through my book! 😡
With such a busy weekend I didn't even get one page read! Wedding all day Saturday and my baby shower on Sunday definitely kept me moving! Starting my Monday morning out right ☺
Really enjoying this one so far, but man it's pulling on my hormonal heart strings! Definitely reminds me how blessed we are to have his little boy growing strong and healthy in my belly 🙏🏻
Book and lunch :) nothing too exciting here, good ole peanut butter and jelly! Although starting fresh in a new book always makes lunch a little better!
"Multilayered and completely consuming". This is the second book of hers I read, and I am loving her style of writing. She draws you in with the story lines, and throws in a twist you don't expect. Sooooooo good!!!!
A woman's offer to be a surrogate for her close friends changes everyone's lives in ways they never could have imagined in this wonderful book that's expertly narrated. I felt for all the characters as I smiled and cried my way through this book.
Loved this book! Such a sweetly sad story. Reminded me of older Kristin Hannah work.
Not only is Karma Brown a brilliant craftswoman of heartrending stories, she is also a very fun and cool person! Here is the Q&A we did together for WomenWriters,Women['s]Books magazine. I hope you like it!! :) http://booksbywomen.org/qa-with-karma-brown/
I'm prepping a Q&A with Karma Brown right now. Do you have any questions you want me to ask?? Let me know asap. X
