pickI have never read a book that left me feeling almost sick to my stomach (In a good way lol) after finishing it. The emotions this book procurred were so intense! Would recommend to anyone who likes stories that will keep you one the edge of your seat. This book makes you think and analyse even after you put it down. Amazing work from Cristin! There are great difficulties in attempting to balance a full-time job & a whole team of anxious people, on the one side, & a 3 yo boy who‘s suddenly home all day every day (they even closed the parks yesterday), on the other...
But there are blessings here too. The time is precious, even if challenging at times; I still have a job to balance; kitty (16!) is sweet; & there are candlelit baths w/ an entertaining read... #findthejoy #evenwhenitshard
pickThis book was ridiculous!! I was hooked from page one. “Here Lies Daniel Tate” is about a young man (pretty much a con artist) who makes people believe he is a boy who was kidnapped years ago and has now returned. I love everyone in the family, and even the main character, though full of trouble and lies, is very likeable. It‘s an interesting take on a YA murder mystery, and is probably the most interesting book I‘ve read all year!
so-soIt was an interesting read but the ending was pretty weird.
so-soA low level con artist decides to impersonate a boy that went missing to get out of the foster care system. Much to his surprise, the family of the missing boy takes him in. But why? Turns out they have some secrets of their own. The story ends up being pretty predictable, and I was a bit underwhelmed by the “twist” at the end.
