I got this book 3 years ago in a LitCube box... so I‘m right on schedule for reading it. 😂

Whimsical and creative, with lovely language and fun characters. A little Victorian gothic, a bit of Nancy Drew mystery, and a whole lot of wit made it a quick, light read. But at the end of the day, this is a children‘s book, and I haven‘t really been into kids books since I was about 10 years old, so...

I was disappointed with this Lit-Cube selection. A lot of build & very little payoff.
(Plus I'd classify it as a kid's book and not YA, which is odd for an book subscription service aimed toward adults).

A very whimsical tale about little old lady child snatchers and the young girl they snatch. While not my favorite book, I thought it was very well done with interesting world building. And the narration was pretty great to boot! Recommended for anyone who's run out of A Series of Unfortunate Events books and episodes.

This was super cute! It was the book in my Harry Potter Lit-Cube and I really enjoyed it. Anastasia is told her parents had an unfortunate vacuum cleaner accident and is whisked away by her eccentric great Aunts to stay in the converted asylum they live in. But all is not what it seems! It is part of a series and at first I wasn't sure if I'd read any more since it is a children's series but after finishing it I will definitely read the others!

Yamich49 @Carol It's litcube's November box. Do you subscribe? If not, they may end up with a few extras that they sell in a week or two. Sometimes they end up with extras and sometimes they don't. I'll let you know if I see them selling extra. 8y

Carol @Yamich49 I don't subscribe but I'd be interested if they release more, thanks! Odd that they didn't let you choose your house. FanMail has one coming out in a couple weeks and I chose my house when I bought it. Happy you found a match to trade!! 8y

A bunch of people from Instagram were all trading a few days ago so I guess everyone will eventually end up with their house. 😆it does seem strange that they wouldn't let you choose - maybe it would have been too long of a pre-order time for a regular monthly box? jpmcwisemorgan A long time ago I was sorted into Ravenclaw but they updated the site and even though they said we could keep our old House I had to be resorted and I ended up in Gryffindor. I was very excited to receive a Ravenclaw LitCube because I feel like it just affirms my true House because even some random people who don't know me know I'm supposed to be in Ravenclaw. 8y

jpmcwisemorgan I also want to add that the items were far nicer than I anticipated after having seen a photo of the journal. I wore my scarf to Fantastic Beasts last night and my friend really liked it. 8y
