I love this book and it makes a great letter writing prompt for mother's or father's day. Or random act of kindness - send someone an I wish you more note. #readoutloud #everybodybooks

“I wish you more will than hill.
I wish you more umbrella than rain.
I wish you more treasures than pockets.”
This just about has me crying. 😭
Such a sweet, sweet book.
One of my favorite authors and book! I love how sweet and simple this story is and how much meaning is behind it! The images are so cute and so is the message. This story is is a realistic fiction picture book and is a New York Times best seller. I would use this for an author study because this author has such an amazing story and many of her books are personal to that!
First Day of EAT UP & MEET UP!
🍎🍞🥕🥦🥪🥛
The Summer Food Service Program was created to ensure that children in lower-income areas could continue to receive nutritious meals during long school vacations, when they do not have access to the National School Lunch or School Breakfast Programs. I bring books to hand out and read a story to the kiddos along with helping serve the meal. I read I wish you more today 📖❤️🌈☀️
Nighttime reading. She's starting to love books as much as me!
I wish you more. 😢 So bittersweet, especially since the loss of the author at such a young age. Breaks my mama heart to know her children have these words, but not their mom to read them to them.
On June 20th, 2017, I graduated from college. My parents gave me this book for a graduation present.. My mom, who remembers everything, remembered that I said I wasn't too old to get a book like this one. It meant the world to me that she not only listened, but that my dad and her picked out a book with such meaning. I will always hold this book dear to my heart and know that no matter what: that they wish me more.
The world lost a wonderful children‘s author with the passing of Amy Krouse Rosental. She had a way of making hard concepts easy to understand. This title is no exception. I read it and think of her contemplating her cancer diagnosis and writing to her kids what she wants for them; more treasures than pockets, and more stories than stars. This story helps fill that library of stars, and an excellent selection for Illinois Reads 2017.
This book is 100% what I wish for the world, especially my loved ones. #weather #aprilbookshowers
Just read that Amy Krouse Rosenthal has passed. The Chicago literary community has lost some joy. Thankful for the pleasure of meeting her at BEA last year.
Such a beautiful little book
The article this woman wrote for the New York Times about her dying and her wish for her husband had me going through a box of Kleenex what an amazing woman.
Day 13 of #booklove17 #sharethelove #readtoachild
Some nights, he's my super-sweet, cuddly little guy that hugs me when I tear up at the end of this book.
Nights like tonight, he makes up his own (not so sweet) stories for each page, giggles when I get emotional, and says 'Ok let's read Batman now.' 😂
My baby is 5 1/2, and his reading choices are evolving. 😥😃❤️
