That‘s a mood 😳

There‘s a gentle rain outside, so it was the perfect morning to walk to the library to get a new book and stop by my favorite coffee shop for a muffin and honey lavender latte. Making these last weeks of summer vacation count!!

Yes, there‘s been some bumps in the road but finally she & James are in a good place. So imagine her shock when she discovers her husband, whom she believes is in Kansas for business has died in Hawaii along with another woman, his mistress. Stunned, Jacks decides to search for answers. #WontBeFooledAgain

Jaqueline (Jacks) thinks her husband of 8 years is on a business trip to Kansas but one day cops knock on their door and break the news that he died in a car accident in Hawaii... and he wasn‘t alone. Jacks deals with grief and anger trying to find the truth of where her marriage broke and why her husband was in Hawaii with another woman.

Fast paced read and I found myself just turning the pages.

One of my pet peeves in life is someone reading to me. I have been so very reluctant to try an audio book but I broke down and tried one. I had to pick one I knew I would enjoy if I had to end up with the book. My go to authors are @lisaandliz so I picked #thegoodwidow. I LOVE IT! It made folding laundry go by so much faster and the awful carpool line was amazing.

12/125 The Good Widow was pretty straightforward until the end. Peeling back the layers and telling the story from present to past, switching seamlessly. I never felt lost or like I didn‘t understand whose perspective the story was coming from. I had forgotten that this was supposed to be a thriller. I wanted to know the story and the why behind the what but it wasn‘t until the end where the story gets dark. Dark in a good way, a believable way.

So glad I had the ebook attached to the audio book. I was so hooked I finished this in two days! Mostly listened to it, but was able to read the last 7 chapters in my Kindle app since the two were connected.

I enjoyed this book! It was a super quick and exciting read!

#hideabook !!!! So excited to find this in the Public Hospital at the Museums in Colonial Williamsburg! Can't wait to read it. And am inspired to do one also.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, eagerly waiting for each new reveal. Literally heart racing, sick feeling in my stomach as I waited to go around the next curve. Even if you can sort of see them coming, this book is still an enjoyable page-turner.

I am almost finished this book, and I realized tonight that for about the entire second half I have been tense while reading. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I don't trust the author; I feel there is something huge yet to be revealed and I am both thrilled at the prospect and sick with anxiety while I wait for it.

Starting this tonight!! This will be my first read by these authors so I hope it's good!

Okay thriller, but it fell a bit short of being a pick for me. Not really suspenseful, I didn't connect with any of the characters-they were all quite awful-and I saw the twist coming a mile away 😳😬😞

Fans of domestic thrillers, twisted plot lines, and unreliable characters need to add this one to their summer reading list ASAP! It kept me guessing from the very beginning, and just when I was convinced I'd ruined the whole thing by guessing the ending, Lis & Lisa showed me just how wrong I was. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The top four holds came in today.. and I have another at our main branch too.. better get to reading!! 😆👍🏻

I enjoyed this one. The story was good, the change in perspective and timeline well done and I definitely wanted to keep reading to see what happened. It ended a bit quickly, but it was interesting and somewhat unexpected.

This book was fantastic! It kept me guessing from the very beginning. In fact, I was completely certain that I'd figured it all out by the time I got to page 214. I was way off and was so happy because that's always a disappointment for me-being able to guess the ending. I want to be surprised, and Liz & Lisa delivered! Fans of domestic thrillers, twisted plot lines, and unreliable characters need to add this one to their summer reading list ASAP!
