pickI don‘t think I‘m supposed to like Vicious but I did anyway! There‘s always something about a bad boy, but a tortured douchecanoe who secretly has a heart of gold makes me swoon. Not sure what that says about me but there you have it!

panNot my cup of tea. With the exception of the very end, I didn't like these people at all. And the flashback chapters felt disjointed. Entertaining enough, but not a series I'll continue reading. #romantsy #kindleunlimited

pickThe End Zone is not in the system. It is a novella and while good, was way sweeter than other Shen books. She‘s usually pretty gritty. There was an extended epilogue for the tagged book that I enjoyed and sets up a new series. #romance #kindleunlimited #thatcover
so-soThis book was alright, but I didn't like the main character, I thought he was a jerk and the main woman was just a butterball. She doesn't know why she is attracted to him (he's gorgeous), but he treats her badly and calls her the ''help". It was difficult for me to even like these characters and this book quickly leaves your head once you are done reading it

I was looking for something slightly ridiculous and for most of the novel this was the good kind of ridiculous but then it took a dive off the ridiculous cliff. I never actually got a good sense of the characters feelings for one another. Then he went to rehab for her (because he needed her). Go for yourself, dude, then get her.

pickThis is the 4th book in this series and I have loved all of them, and I‘m not sure why. The guys are jerks, the relationships not really socially acceptable, but there‘s just something about them. There are lots of books out there about the 'alpha-billionaire-badboy-asshole' and the poor girl who falls under his spell - in need of his money, and his love. I tried one of these books a while ago and it did nothing for me. But boy, does LJ Shen know how to do it right. I couldn't pick any faults. Vicious is a dick, but one that you are totally left swooning for!

pickThis book isn't in the system, but it's book 2 in this series. I loved this book more than the others! Rosie has CF and Dean is an alcoholic, so much is against them. They're both flawed, but awesome. #romantsy
pickI devoured this one and kind of wish I was still reading it. While I do love a good tortured a-hole, Vicious pushed my limits and the drama scale was a bit higher than I would usually go but I still loved it.
I realized hours after finishing that I can see shades of Logan and Veronica in V and Emilia. Rich bully with scars (physical and mental) connects with sassy underprivileged girl with a large heart.

pickDefy is a prequel novella to the series. The subject matter is one I normally wouldn't read, but it was recommended and I loved Vicious. It was actually pretty good and while the relationship bothered me a bit, it worked for the book. #romantsy
pickI don't know why I'm loving these a-hole guys that redeem themselves so much lately. Vic was a major jerk, but you could see the good guy behind that exterior. The flashbacks were good and I really liked Emilia. This was total brain candy and I really enjoyed it. #romantsy

How do you organize your shelves? Mine are first by height, then I keep authors together (drives me NUTS when I split them apart). So some shelves have weird sizing (which also drives me crazy 😩)

pickKylie Scott recommended Defy by L. J. Shen. So I bought it without reading the blurb. The story features a romance trope, which I avoid at all time, the high school teacher-student romance. Gross, right? But it works in this book for two reasons. The hot high school student does not act 18, he acts like he is 38. The teacher does not act 26, she acts like she is 20. So it works and is a sexy read. Still hate the trope.
