pickHow do people listen to audiobooks to go to bed? The apps have “sleep timers” and I decided to try it last night. I put on 2 15 min timers and then a final 45 minute timer so I could finish the book! I was just hooked and not ready to go to sleep.
In this one, Jason gets married. Sookie goes up north for a vampire conference to work for the Queen. Her and Eric exchange blood for a 3rd time but her and Quinn are still together.

pickI re-read/listen to this series just about every year. It started when I was pregnant and on bedrest with Henry (now 6) for 4 months. I found rereading them to be comforting, and I still feel a familiar sense of peace when I read them now. This one (#7) isn't my favorite, but it's a pretty good one. Johanna Parker does a great job narrating.

so-soNot one of the better installments. Sookie takes the (last?) trip of her life accompanying the vampire queen‘s entourage to a summit. Diabolical plots abound, too many villains to shake a stake at, and Sookie ignoring the advice of EVERYBODY who has her best interests at heart (ok, some of them are less well-meaning). Moving on.

Not a deep quote, but it was a GREAT idea. Chili-seasoned burger w/ sharp cheddar & pepper jack, topped w/ jalapeños, pico, & guac, obvs.
Kinda over theses books. Too many pointless characters whose reactions are inconsistent or don't fit the situation, and, OH! the clothes. Hate to say it, but the show was better.
Taking a break from inventing tornado victim injuries to do something a little less morbid, like read about vampires.
(This is ACTUALLY for my job. But I wonder if my boss would mind if I also gave them rich back stories. For example: abrasion across the chest? Actually a serial killer. And bleeding from the head guy and broken leg girl are definitely about to meet-cute at the hospital. Good #NaNoWriMo exercise 📝).
