Last week‘s op shop scores. I couldn‘t help myself. They were half price.
A good read, but a disturbing subject. The friendship is brilliantly portrayed and you sort of know what‘s coming. The ending is sad and frustrating.
Thanks Carolyn 😘

As always, these are what I felt like today but who knows!
Starting tagged one this morning, hopefully get an hour or so before anyone else gets up 😁
Definitely in the need for some tales of gutsy women!
I have one more to read for #booked2019 but just don‘t fancy anything for it at the moment 🤷♀️
Thank you Carolyn and Misty 😁😘 very kind of you and I look forward to reading both of these! Came yesterday but I only saw them when I got in late last night!
Carolyn - that picture in the card is amazing isn‘t it!?
Thanks again.
What a great read. I really enjoyed this one. I grew up not far from where this is set so the descriptions really brought home images of my childhood. Great characters and descriptions. Really looking forward to reading another Mark Brandi book.
An easy, quick and engrossing read. Emotionally challenging though, due to the disturbing subject matter. Good debut #ozfiction #crimefiction
Gonna give this Australian crime fiction a go next. #ozfiction #crime #currentlyreading
An intriguing and unusual mystery centring on a #SmallTownBoy and his friend. #WanderingJune
Easy to read but not an easy read! I had worked out the plot but was not too sure how he would end it.
Great Aussie fiction. His description of the boys childhood took me back. Times of innocence and freedom.

Should be tidying the house! 😊. But remembered the library was open! Top two books were on my list . Can‘t remember why I put them there. 🙃 . Both look like interesting reads. The other two were on the new books shelf and thought they looked interesting also. I love cats.😻. Anyone read any of these?
A brilliant ominous and tragic story of a friendship between two young boys torn apart by a terrible secret. This gripped me from page 1 and if it wasn't for other life happenings I would have read it in a single sitting. A mystery more provocative and atmospheric than The Dry but with none of the hype. Highly, highly recommend!
It seems I have a thing for books with places as title at the moment. I'm really looking forward to both of these. What's your favourite place-name book?
Really poignant evocation of a great friendship between two young boys, so sad but a great read.
#BooksAcrossOceans #day1 #AugustTBR I know I usually say "Uh Uh!" to tbr lists, but I'm running out of space in my TBR wall. That's 10 shelves. Double. Stacked.?I have to make plans to free up space or the hubby will finally catch on that I have way more books than I'm supposed to.These are at the top of my Must Read This Month pile.Although, I do have Bk2&3 of Ann Leckies series coming, plus all 3 bks in A Darker Shade Of Magic. And my Folios...
