Quick, cute and fun read but sometimes I just got sick of the teenage angst. Love sarah dessen forever though

What was supposed to be a quick spring break read took me about 3 weeks to finish. An easy read that was pretty fun even though sometimes the melodrama got annoying

It was ok but just felt a little long to me. Although it did feel very realistic and Dealt with the topic of divorce pretty well

My newest read. Also it‘s from shelf #18 so one of my #bookspin pics this month. @TheAromaofBooks

What Happened to Goodbye takes you through a teen‘s perspective of divorce. It shows the struggles kids go through trying to balance between two homes and the resentment that can grow for one or the other parent. It also delves into the misconceptions that can arise when people fail to communicate or fail to listen to one another. Age appropriate. #youngadult

What can I say that I haven‘t already said? I LOVE this book. I forgot how great it was! And now rereading it it‘s almost like reliving the past 10 years of my life. Perfect read and totally what I needed.
Bonus: I‘m a huge fan of Bar Rescue and Kitchen Nightmares, so hearing about her dads job was just the cherry on top. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My whole life until 17 y‘all, summed up in a quote. Good lord, I read this book BACK when I was maybe 16-18ish. And I liked it, liked the story, but now, at 26, with all that‘s happened in my life...it‘s like Watching a movie of my life for the past 9 years roll by as I read about Mclean.
I remember reading once that we read to find ourselves. Well I just found a huge chunk of myself. And I‘m only on Ch. 4

I haven't been as in love with Dessen's books lately as I have in the past, but this one gripped me with its innocence and range of relatable characters. The story unfolded at a natural pace and there were no huge reveals to complicate things and make them unrealistic. It was a nice, fun, and relaxing read.

Sarah Dessen books frequently remind me of sweet treats with their pretty colors, so I had to use a few of hers for this. ☺
