Love, heartbreak, and horses. And a trio of sisters of course. Not my fave KH book, but a good read all the same.

I love anything by this author. Set in Washington state the Grey family sisters need to protect their ranch, need to find themselves after the loss of their mother, and need to find what makes each of themselves happy. Horses and love and the Innocence Project.
I really enjoyed this book, especially toward the second half. I was a little concerned that it was going to be a hokey love story, which it was, but the beginning had me thinking it was closer to a Carolyn Brown story rather than a Kristen Hannah novel.
Not her best writing, but a unique story with lovable characters and a moving plot.
This seemed overly long to me and I did not like Winona‘s immaturity and selfishness. She redeemed herself in the end and I did like the ending. 3.5 ⭐️
While I usually absolutely love Kristin Hannah's books, this one while really beautiful, was relatively underwhelming.
Thank you, @shortsarahrose for the #litsylovesanimalswap box. The sticker made me LOL, and the monogrammed bone for Fred is absolutely adorable. I loved the animal themed wrapping paper. @DinoMom @ShelleyBooksie

The Grey sisters' mother died years ago and their father doesn't give them much attention. Winona needs her father's approval. Aurora is the peacemaker. ViviAnn is the star of the family but when she follows her heart, events will test the love and loyalties of the Grey sisters. A shocking crime will shatter their town and secrets will be revealed.
February books?! I think none of us has read the tagged Hannah book. Is Coben‘s The Innocent another one we haven‘t read? Also, The Dee Valley Killings and Torch? @Andrew65 @EadieB
Half-way through. Picked this up because I LOVED The Nightingale. Can't decide what I think of True Colors, but it is definitely not as good as The Nightingale.
I was hoping to finish this book by the New Year, but I can not get into the story line. It is all over the place. I usually love Kristin Hannah, but this book isn‘t her best. I am on chapter 12. Does it get any better?
Kristin has done it again! In my opinion it was far better than The Great Alone but not QUITE as good as Night Road or Nightingale but definitely still worth the read. Amazing! One of the best authors at creating full rounded characters.
Nice, wholesome read about families and their misgivings and righting wrongs. Decent book, not a favourite. 3 star
The Tbr poison apple chose Kristin Hannah‘s True Colors. Any thoughts?
I have very few #PinkBooks but these are three of my favorites.

I'm not enjoying this book at all, except for the joy I get imagining people not from Washington trying to pronounce Sequim 👌👌👌
I didn't participate much with August, so I'll try to do better for September.

I'm always unsure with books with ranches in them. In this one the ranch was very secondary but still an excellent book by Hannah. Wish there was a little more of the horses. But Hannah can do no wrong in my mind.
Perhaps the ending was a bit predictable, but her stories & characters tear my heart out so that I don't mind. Any book that makes me cry gets a thumbs up from me. It's after 1am local time, so I will regret this in a few hours, but once I saw the end in sight, I had to finish! #bookishproblems
Kristin Hannah has a way of writing massive sagas that cover so much ground, almost like the second half is a sequel. This one's about family, jealousy, and ultimately love. I saw most of the major plot points coming from a mile away, but it was an enjoyable read!
Flying through this family saga. Not quite at the halfway point and it feels like so much has already happened! Interested to see where it goes.
Grab the tissue box and something to drink as you won't want to leave the book. Needed an escape, great one!
I received a huge box of her books for my book club and that was the first time I was introduced to her work. I have been in love with her story telling ever since.
