In the third book of the Nebula Awardnominated Arcadia Project series, which New York Times bestselling author Seanan McGuire called exciting, inventive, and brilliantly plotted, Millie Roper has to pull off two impossible heistswith the fate of the worlds in the balance. Three months ago, a rift between agents in London and Los Angeles tore the Arcadia Project apart. With both fey Courts split down the middlehalf supporting London, half LALondon is putting the pieces in place to quash the resistance. But due to an alarming backslide in her mental health, new LA agent Mille Roper is in no condition to fight. When Londons opening shot is to frame Millies partner, Tjuan, for attempted homicide, Millie has no choice but to hide him and try to clear his name. Her investigation will take her across the pond to the heart of Arcadia at the mysterious and impenetrable White Rose palace. The key to Tjuans freedomand to the success of the revolutionis locked in a vault under the fey Queens watchful eye. Its up to Millie to plan and lead a heist that will shape the future of two worldsall while pretending that she knows exactly what shes doing

Millie is one of my all-time favorite heroines. She is complicated, yet still capable. I like that message. Also, I just like the fairy drama. I really hope this author writes more books.

#BookReport
Had a pretty awesome reading week. Managed to finish the available books in two series with The Arcadia Project being the real standout.

#WeeklyForecast
My goal now is to focus on my BookSpin picks as I'm about a month and half behind. I've become somewhat of a mood reader lately so who knows if I'll stick to this but the books also count for a bookclub challenge which I hope will keep me extra motivated to stick to the plan.

I found this to be a fitting conclusion to the trilogy. I think that throughout we've seen some real growth from Millie during her adventures and while the ending isn't all rainbows and unicorns it felt real. I think the important takeaway from the series was also elaborated in the author's note at the end: going through the hard times is worth it to see where you end up afterwards.

I have a stealth reading buddy today. She‘s hiding behind the curtain next to where I‘m sitting on the couch. Also I am absolutely devouring the tagged. It‘s going so much faster than Phantom Pains.

Cal says less book more pets. I pretty much started the next Arcadia Project book the second I posted my review for the last one. I‘m curious to see how the trilogy ends.

#top10ofthedecade #fictionedition I had such a great time looking back through my goodreads to narrow this list down.

Amiable Loved “Station Eleven” —still think about it . 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 I wish I had gotten A Little Life into this decade!! But I‘m not going to make it! So I‘ll be starting the 2020s with that gem! Can‘t wait! 5y

Cinfhen Nice mix of genres!!! My list tended to be heavy on HF with a dash of contemporary fiction 5y
CoffeeK8 @JanuarieTimewalker13 I still think about that book even years after reading it. 5y
CoffeeK8 @Amiable me too! She finally has a new book coming out next year 5y
CoffeeK8 @CoverToCoverGirl yes! So wonderful and surprising 5y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I know, a lot of fun looking back at my lists. 5y
Amiable @CoffeeK8 I read another one by her that I really didn't enjoy at all (“Last Night in Montreal“), so I hope the new one is as good as “Station Eleven.“ 5y

The final installment in this trilogy, I found I enjoyed this one the best of the three. I think for me it probably was the best at blending the urban fantasy story with the physical and mental challenges that the characters faced. Definitely recommended if you're looking for some imperfect heroes who face worlds of evil spirits without and within themselves.

Mehso-so

Too many characters with S- names and the plot was ridiculous.

In anticipation of my exciting weekend of staying home and resting and recovering, I decided to go on a library ebook downloading spree. So far these three. And I also had Ancillary Justice and Amberlough downloaded earlier. I think I‘m looking for some very escapist reads to take my mind of things. (Except Delancey of course which is a foodie book)
What would you recommend?

JacqMac I tend to read funny books when I don‘t want to think too much. Jenny Lawson or David Sedaris make me happy. Hope you feel better soon. 6y

I finished one book (Impostor Syndrome), listened to some audio (The Thousandth Floor) and got about 1/3 of the way through a new book (Wicked) during #8intwo ! Not too bad! 📚

I'm sad that this trilogy is over, but I thoroughly enjoyed all three books and especially loved the main character, who has BPD and is a double amputee. She's smart, determined, hilarious, and even when she thinks she's being unlikable you can't help but love her. Sometimes UF can get a bit repetitive, but this trilogy was definitely a fresh take on fae/human interactions and the ensuing complications. #8intwo

Canceled flight + a bunch of delays but at least I'm getting some reading time with a book I've been saving for a rainy day! Sometimes I have to read next-in-series books as soon as I get them; I'm glad I waited on this one because it's exactly what I'm in the mood for.

CoffeeK8 This series is fabulous! 6y
Beachesnbooks @CoffeeK8 Yes!!! I think it's only going to be a trilogy, do you know if there will be more books? 6y
CoffeeK8 @Beachesnbooks I think just a trilogy 6y

My pre-order is here!! This is the third book in an urban fantasy series about mental health and also fairies. I'm so excited to read it but I might save it for one of the trips I have coming up in the next few months.
