I really enjoyed Ex Heroes and will definitely pick up the next one in the series. Each character has specific traits, strengths and weaknesses, fears and desires. The plot builds to a great final battle.

Now that I'm fully vaxxed, I can read zombie apocalypse novels. Ex-Heroes combines the typical zombie plague scenario with superheroes. The superheroes' powers are pretty distinctive. I'm halfway through and so far it's a fun, fast paced ride.
I think this novel has a particular audience among lovers of action movies. Sadly, that audience isn‘t me. This was a fun read and I‘m glad it was picked because it got me out of my comfort zone with all the action, but ultimately I like a little more depth. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I‘ll have this one out and on its way home today!

@cobwebmoth your #LMPBC is on its way!!! @Mitch there‘s a package headed your way too. Simulated picture above!
I enjoyed this combination of Walking Dead World with Superheroes. Sending out Tuesday or Wednesday @cobwebmoth Gratuitous picture of my yummy soup with a lot of garlic as I finished the book. Strep round two- and I do not have tonsils....
#lmpbc #GroupW Here are my sci-fi picks. I own the two books pictured but plan on buying Recursion at some point anyway. Hitchhikers would only be the first book obviously not the whole series. Let me know your thoughts.
ETA: I‘ve never read any of these.
It‘s an easy and entertaining read, great to take on vacation. It‘s not a book that is going to make you think but sometimes that‘s what you want. Zombies and Superheroes. Enough said.
I wavered between going pick or so-so, there were some well done characters and situations, but ended up going so-so because it never really came together as something entertaining. If you're into zombie lit or looking for a second-rate version of Martin's Wildcard series, you might like this. 3 🏅 out of 5
The Avengers meets The Walking Dead....and a recommendation by Ready Player One author Ernest Cline. How could I resist??
Due to a horror fanatic roommate in college, I'm well-versed in #zombie cinema, and while World War Z is the BEST book about the undead, this series has a neat approach. (Respect to @Maggany for her clever take on this prompt)
I've read the first 2 books of this 5 book series set in a world where superheroes existed... and then the zombie apocalypse happened. #RockinMay
Thoughts in the comments:
No thanks. I can't finish this one. The characters are very stereotypical superheroes and it reads as if it's for a prepubescent boy, which I'm not. I don't think this is a horrible book, it's just not for me at all.
🌟I have way too many on my TBR this month. I have all of these books and a few horror/thriller ebooks as well. Wish me luck, I'll need it lol! Also, my sons drew the two spiders and the spiderweb for me.🌟#october #tbr #horror #scary #iloveoctober
I know NOTHING about this book except that it has a pretty awesome cover.
