2. No straight-up phobias but I dislike spiders. And once, I tried to go snorkeling when there was a (minor, nbd) jellyfish advisory & I FLIPPED. MY. SHIT. I think they‘re kind-of peaceful to watch when they‘re in tanks, though. 🤷‍♀️
3. Janet Jackson‘s background dancer. Mind you, not a pop star. Just specifically JJ‘s *background* dancer. 🙄 #dreambigkid

TheBookStacker I‘ve been stung by a jellyfish multiple times. Would not recommend it. 5y

monalyisha @TheBookStacker We were told there weren‘t any of the seriously dangerous jellyfish & that if we saw any (of the relatively harmless kind), to just swim away from them. But I was like, “If I see them?! I never see anything!” I just kind of bumble along/am slightly oblivious. 😅 All I could imagine was blissfully admiring the bright colors of a parrot fish & then WA-BAM! Stuck in a smack! 5y

TheBookStacker The ones I was stung by weren‘t dangerous just hurt so much and for weeks after I had weird marks where I was stung and now my skin is slightly discolored permanently where the worst stings were 5y

Also, when it‘s mid-winter in New England & I‘m utterly miserable, I‘m going to remind myself that this is one of the reasons it‘s still a good thing that I live there

2BR02B I just finished reading There There, and there's a scene where a character notices a swollen spot on his leg with something dark poking out. He pulls it out, and it's FRICKIN' SPIDER LEGS. I'm not even an arachnophobe, but that scene gave me the shivers. 😱 6y

Bookish_AF I recently had an encounter with a wolf spider and I immediately texted my bf with “bug emergency!!!” and “unacceptable spider!!!”. This spider I would also classify as unacceptable spider requiring the activation of a bug emergency. 😩 6y

monalyisha @Whippoorwill Bahaha. I love “unacceptable spider!” 😂 Because there are spiders that I acknowledge aren‘t threats to me. Tiny, corner spiders (if they don‘t move). My husband killed it and finished the dishes (and was the one who cooked breakfast in the first place), so... he did his due diligence, for sure. 6y
