8/100 this time. There are few that look interesting, I always meant to watch seven.

There did seem to be far less problematic content in this entry compared to the first two books and it was great to see Bond blown out by a woman finally!

These books are a real eye opener for me, I was always under the impression that Bond was a super spy, intelligent, no one could fool Bond. However he comes across very ditzy to me, easily fooled and not particularly clever.

Pikathulhu The books definitely portray a very different Bond than the movies! 2y
Michellesibs @Pikathulhu I'm starting to realise the extent of this! So different x 2y

Took the 003rd Bond book to Digby‘s in Pall Mall. After a delicious Louis XIII pizza, cooked by guest chef Renato Viola & a desert of strawberries in Kirsch I retired to the lounge. I sat in a 1950s Howard & Sons Bridgwater chair, slightly angled towards the Adam fireplace with its cozy heat, & devoured this novel. The antiquated attitudes to woman left a sour taste but I washed this away with a glass of Wolfschmidt vodka and a dash of pepper.

Vansa My favourite Bond novel. Actually I think this book has among the best, and most badass female characters ever in Gala Brand, who saves the day ( as most women do, in Fleming's novels). 2y

1.People texting me or trying to talk!In a book,I absolutely detest storylines that use sexual assault of a woman as catalysts for male protagonists storylines.
2.This beautiful set of inscribed first editions of the Bond books

I'm quite a fan of the Bond books, and this is my favourite in the series-a thrilling card game,a diabolical villain,a completely outlandish plot, and best of all,one of my favourite Bond companions-Gala Brand.Full review here-https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3752491689

#CuriousCovers - Circles:🎵You got me going in circles🎵 I knew that this prompt would be fun. I have seen some very cool book cover art today. Way to do your thing, Littens! This is my contribution to the mix.

My name is Bond, James Bond.👇🏽

Nute Am I crazy about James Bond because of reading about his espionage escapades? No! Am I mad for him because of secrets between the pages of a book? No! The truth has a name. Daniel Craig! A badass James Bond for the now times! He was already smooth, but Daniel Craig made him edgy and mysterious...swagger and bravado all over the place! Good gracious!
Oh, the books...this is representative of the editions that I am collecting. It has circles.⭕️

1. The protagonist is Sophie Kinsella's latest- extremely annoying, full of herself and calls people "ugly". Also Hugo Drax from Moonraker-so diabolical! Tortures my beloved Gala Brand!
2. Such a hard question! Characters, I guess- I've read books with no plot but decent characters.

One of the characters has quite a beginning in this ,and by the end of it,so does Gala Brand, my favourite Bond female protagonist! The phrase "Bond girl" seems quite demeaning to competent women with agency who are constantly the ones rescuing Bond.

This wasn't one of my favorite 007 stories, but I do love James Bond, so it was still a pick. #ReadingThroughTheYears192021 #1955

1. To be uncomfortably frank. I was actually able to put my right shoe on first today & keep it on & not panic! I haven't been able to do that in years. I'm excited what it could mean, I'm scared I can't do it again. OCD is hard.
2. Taking time for me, & go see my drs, & see about trying meds again for my brain.
3. I have it tattooed on me in French, Je Suis Prest

I loved this book. Excellent character development, the choice of villain (Hugo Drax) worked so well and the idea of the Moonraker was awesome. Ian Fleming never fails to bring Bond to life on each page.

And suddenly Bond didn't care about high stakes. Suddenly all he wanted to do was to give this hairy ape the lesson of his life, give him a shock which would make him remember this evening for ever. For al its importance, Bond had forgotten the Moonraker. This was a private affair between two men.
