pickWhew! This was a good, long listen. I enjoy long books with lots of characters with a story line that keeps evolving. People living in various areas of the country begin having similar strange experiences…super power level weirdness. They eventually meet up in California and things become even stranger. I‘m a fan of Koontz and enjoyed this one. #MountTBR
so-soI was conflicted about the length of the book, but I sometimes truly appreciated it because it gives the reader an in-depth look into the characters‘ lives. That is perhaps the greatest strength of the novel, the character development. Koontz makes it strikingly clear that there is a huge secret that will be revealed at the end of the book, and I was pleasantly surprised by his ability to maintain suspense throughout the book.
Anybody else super pumped about the new #Strangers tv series by #koontz??

Although not strictly ‘local‘ to me, Dean Koontz was born in Everett, PA.
The tagged book was the first of his that I read and I have fond memories of reading his books during my teenage years.

so-soThe first 500 pages were non stop action and suspense. But in an attempt to tie up all loose ends he made the last 200 pages hardly bearable.
Not an actual stack but one of the boxes of books I've collected for a friend's son who lost everything, including his beloved dog and all of his books, in a fire. I have another box plus a bag of brand new books I bought with a gift card someone donated. I am delivering them this morning!
