Today reached 50 in the Farmington Valley, so I spent much of my day outdoors. Visited a friend who just had a hip replacement- we had such fun! Between the cold of winter & Covid, I have not seen many people.
Finally settling down to read some before dinner.

pickI really liked the characters. There were some that I hated but you weren't meant to like them. Luke & Em's found their way back to each other after 35 years. Definitely a romantic cozy mystery.
I'm on #OneStoneIsland, reading this fluffy book to have a break from reality which beckons again on Friday. This book still has to surprise me... but it's relaxing.
so-soThis was OK but I didn't care for the ending. Seriously! Who would do that? I don't want to spoil it for anyone looking to read this book so I'll leave it at that.
pickAn enjoyable cozy with some endearing references to classic literature (though not as many as I expected from the title).
panThe mystery and setting were interesting but that's about it. The main character acted like an obnoxious teenager for most of the novel despite being supposedly 51. She was judgemental, immature and ridiculous for large parts of the book. The cop in the story couldn't figure anything out without her brilliant help.
I visited my local library used book store today.. and things may have gotten out of hand. #tbr to the max! At least Klaus approves. #dogsoflitsy
bailedI liked that the heroine was older but otherwise this was like so many other books I've read & I was bored at 80 pages.

Fun light read w a touch of love and mystery. It's a little predictable, but still enjoyable.
Excuse the cat using my book as a bathtub lol. But! Page 153 out of 312 - I figured out how the murderer did it! I'm sure in a chapter or so the protagonist will figure it out and I'll know for sure, but I'm confident I'm right lol
pickExcellent mystery. Loved the literary references - when she compared a character to Gilderoy Lockhart, I was sold!
