I have (sorta) two:
1. I never met him, but Charles Shulz called me when I wrote him, asking if he'd sell me one of his comics to give to my mom for her 50th birthday (she was a PEANUTS fanatic). He called me long distance on his dime and gave me one of his strips for FREE, even paying to ship it to me (see pic above). He said I wrote a heckofa letter. 🤩 #2 is ⬇️.
dabbe 2. I had AP English with the tagged author, Lauria Notaro (she's like a female Dave Barry). I should have known she's be a humorist because one day in class I dared to ask what a “nymph“omaniac was (we were studying nymphs in mythology). She piped up loudly for all to hear: “Denise, you of all people should know what that means.“ 😳 6d

dabbe @BkClubCare 🥰 The nymph story followed me to college. I wrote the story as an extra credit essay in my biology class, and the prof READ it out loud to the whole class. I got to relive the experience all over again! 😂 6d

Blueberry ❤️ I live about an hour from the Charles Schulz museum. It is where he did his comic strip making. I've been a few times when homeschooling. 5d
