Four Quartets | 
pickI‘m struggling to understand T.S. Eliot‘s Four Quartets collection. It is difficult and I‘ve had to go slow and gets lots of help from the Internet. I‘m making progress and every time I have a breakthrough of understanding, I have a greater appreciation for the work. I thought this quote was appropriate for the current world we find ourselves living in. 🌎

Despite this space on my right being left deliberately cat-sized, Frankie insisted on usurping the lap-space I'd clearly designated for a book and mug of tea!
And, don't be fooled into thinking he has any interest in Eliot. He's on record as saying Old Possum is full of oppressive feline stereotypes, and that the modern poets in general are pretentious shitbags! 🐱☹🐱
Today, I picked up this 1969 slipcased, clothbound Folio edition. The slipcase shows only a little wear, pretty good for almost half-a-century, while the book itself is in lovely condition. The burnt-orange paper titles on the spine, and front and inside-back covers look like they were hand-cut and glued, but that might be wishful thinking! The spine label is, sadly, rather faded, but the others are nice and bright. 👇
