“Never forget that a saint is a sinner who keeps trying.” What an amazing man with an amazing spirit.

I found this audiobook fascinating because it gave me a much richer and more complex picture of Nelson Mandela. He is a truly wise man. Through his writings you really get to see him as the complex and fallible human being that he is. He is a man of strong beliefs and strong ethics.
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
Nelson Mandela
Insightful, inspiring, beautiful. I wish I had read A Long Walk to Freedom first, but I will be reading it very soon. The narrator was sometimes hard to understand, but gave it an authenticity that would have been missing with an American accent. Since reading Born a Crime by Trevor Noah, I have been wanting to know more about the Apartheid era. This was an fascinating read.

I just wanted to take a moment to say how much I love the Litsy app and community. It is so refreshing to be able to join discussions about books as well as various things going on in our world! I've connected with people I never could have any other way. It makes me so happy to scroll through and read that I'm not even upset that I'm constantly adding to my TBR! Hahaha! Thanks for the welcome!
