Oh boy was this book a twisty ride! I felt very mentally unstable as I tried to figure out what was real and what was not what it seemed. It kept me doubting reality right up to the end.
5 books behind schedule for the year‘s reading goal.
Thankful for summer and the time to catch up!

This was a roller coaster ride and I thoroughly enjoyed it 💍🖤 even though it isn‘t very memorable.
** lots of trigger warnings
I finished this one today. It was fast paced and had a few twists, but I didn‘t love it. For the most part I wanted to shake the MC!! Definitely not a memorable read. Lots of trigger warnings ***

I‘m just thinking wth 🤦🏻♀️ 🤪😜
Just starting this one! I keep being drawn to psychological thrillers!! 😱📚
There was a rhythm to the first half of this book and my thoughts were pretty straightforward - just say no to polygamy. Then, the wind began to switch, the house to pitch, and suddenly this story became unhitched!
It was ok - it definitely had a twist. But many many trigger warnings to look up before reading this. This book is just ok - it‘s one that will definitely get lost in your memory- nothing is too memorable about this.
This grab my interest because it's so different about a polyamorous couple. I'm polyamorous and was thrilled to see a book about it. Well it was just so bad, I made it thru 25% but couldn't go on. But on a wild guess because polyamorous couples do not live this way, she's probably crazy stalking and delusional. But that's just my guess
This book was a complete roller coaster of a story that I could not put down. From the beginning, I felt uneasy and the feeling still hasn‘t left me even after I finished this book. The story about polygamy at the center was so interesting and it really was such a smart way to make this book come to life. What an ending. Definitely one of my top favorite psychological thrillers to date.
I finished it but that‘s really all I can say for it. I‘m not a fan of unreliable narrators at the best of times and I found the MC/narrator quite annoying. I can see why people would like it but I found it was a bit too much “actually that part wasnt true! So that we can have a twist! Isn‘t this interesting? Not ever know what is real?” To which my answer is no, no I don‘t like it actually. Its plot twists are just there to give you whiplash.

Imagine that your husband has two other wives. Thursday is married to Seth and sees him only once a week on Thursdays. Seth has 2 other wives and he sees them on Monday and Tuesday. While doing laundry, Thursday finds a scrap of paper in Seth's pocket; an appointment reminder for a woman named Hannah, and you just know it's another of his wives.
Book 77🎧 - ENDING SPOILERS -
Oh BOY this book had my heart racing the entire time! Very Shutter Island-esq.📽
BUT the ending.. or ending section. I truly wanted her to be right, that after being made to seem crazy, she wasn‘t. That he was indeed the man she made him out to be. It seemed wrong to just write her off as crazy after feeling for this character😩
Overall - what a whirlwind! SHOOK👏🏻
I really went back and forth as to whether I should give it a pick or a so-so rating. This was not what I expected. A roller coaster of a book! I liked the overall story and the ending was great. The execution got a little clunky for me in the middle and into the last bit of the book, it felt like the theories and red herrings were being forced. I don't think ALL of it was necessary but I would recommend this book, it was a decent thriller.
Challenging book to review because I don‘t want to give too much away. I enjoyed the suspenseful plot created by Fisher. The premise is that the narrator is involved in a consensual polygamous marriage, but the wives are kept away from each other and don‘t really know much about each other. Then….well, you just need to read it. Nothing is as it seems.
The wives……it was a quick book…..had me yelling at the main character a few times, lol! Wasn‘t bad.
This started out interesting, but the ending fell flat and left me feeling annoyed I had wasted time listening to it. On the plus side, I have got a lot of reading time in for #20in4. 😊
Thursday‘s husband, Seth, has two other wives. She‘s never met them, and she doesn‘t know anything about them. She agreed to this unusual arrangement because she‘s so crazy about him.
But one day, she finds something. Something that tells a very different—and horrifying—story about the man she married.
What follows is one of the most twisted, shocking thrillers you‘ll ever read.
You‘ll have to grab a copy to find out why.

💛💛 Have to say, I wasn't a fan of this book. I didn't like the take on mental health issues and I found the storyline unrealistic and the ending was equally disappointing.
Oh my goodness...this book had me hooked from the first words to the last. It had so many twists and turns I was not expecting and left me wondering at the end, what in the world just happened?!?! I highly recommend this book.
💍💍💍💍
The story succeeds as a true mystery/thriller since it keeps you questioning the narrator all the way through to the end. But I just can't get fully on board with the way it depicts mental health, especially the involuntary inpatient process.

One thing about this book, it definitely keeps you on your toes! I read it in one sitting. Many didn‘t like the writing style, but I found it very appropriate, like we were really inside Thursday‘s brain, irrational thoughts and all. She annoyed me, but I couldn‘t help rooting for her the whole time. My opinions on every character changed from the beginning to the end. Unexpected ending, but oddly satisfying. Ha, I‘m crazy too I guess. 😅
What?!
What the what?!
Mixed feelings about this one. I read it really quickly, partly because I'm not feeling great and my options are limited on what I can do, but partly because of what was going on in the book.
A lot of twists and turns.
Might take me a minute to process.
Once I start flipping ahead I put the book down. Not interested in slow burns.
Windows open in the house and enjoying this book. I am very intrigued. 🧐
Thursday is married to Seth who is married to TWO other women!
None of the three women have met each other as Seth keeps them separate and each woman serves an individual purpose.
Things take a fast and dramatic turn when Thursday makes it her mission to meet one of the other wives.
Did not see that ending coming and loved the twist!
I wish I had bailed on this. The writing on a technical level is passable but the plot of the second half is messy, and not just because the main character is mentally ill. There‘s a good story i here somewhere, but the use of miscarriage and mental illness really left a bad taste in my mouth. It‘s okay if the main character is obsessed with her “husband” but I‘m tired of books like this that claim feminism while doing the opposite.
