This was my second Julie Garwood book and while I liked it, I wasn‘t obsessed with it like I was with Sweet Talk. While I loved the characters, the romance was so frustrating. It felt like a lot was left unsaid between the two constantly & while it was resolved for them, it didn‘t feel resolved for me. & while the cyber unit & her mind was incredibly written, it felt like a rush ending.
Overall, a good book with irritating qualities.

This series is kind of a beachy read which is sometimes needed even in winter.

Never read Julie Garwood, picked this up from the new/popular fiction table at the library. I needed a quick, easy read, mystery/thriller/secret agent novels = perfect. But OH WAIT! THINGS ARE GETTING RACY HERE! This is what happens when I don't carefully read the book jacket or think about the cover image...

I should give it a pick because I managed to read it all today even though I‘ve been busy with other things but I found the romance to be a bit out of left field and while the suspense part wasn‘t bad, I found it a tiny bit convoluted. But still a decent library read.

A little less than 100 pages left! It may be the only book I read for #readathon but I will finish it tonight. Considering how little I‘ve been home today, I‘d say that‘s a victory!

Morning Littens! Even though I‘m only unofficially participating in #deweysreadathon today, Guinness and I are enjoying this while I wait for my kids to wake up and shower me with birthday loot!

It‘s an unambitious stack for #deweysreadathon tomorrow. 1. I just realized I never officially signed up, 2. It‘s my birthday and I‘m going out to lunch and the bookstore with my besties 3. I‘m in a hardcore slump. I am enjoying the Historian when I have a big block of time to read, but for now Wired is working when I have small bits of time

I'd waited so long for this, and it didn't disappoint. I love Julie Garwood's romantic suspense novels. This one is about a white hat hacker who helps out the FBI.

Could have done without the hacker also being a drop-dead gorgeous model, but I appreciate avoiding some of tropes about nerdy women. #romantsy

Hacker meets fed. Chaos ensues. Garwood is always fun.

This was the only book I completed during #24in48 and I was pretty disappointed in it. Instead of one overarching plot and a side plot, there were three side plots which was odd. I also didn't like either main character. Allison was far too easy to manipulate so her intelligence and tech prowess were far less believable. Liam was just awful - he never listened to Allison and he refused to allow her to make her own decisions. Not a hero in my book.

Finished Wired and just under 5 hours of #24in48. Time to eat and decide what to read next.

I was going to stay up and start my #24in48 readathon at midnight but I've been yawning since 9pm. Maybe I'll get up early instead ☺

Being a fan of the earlier works of Julie Garwood, I'm sorry to say that this one was disappointing. There's too much recounting and not enough dialogues and back-and-forth between characters. It feels clinical. The emotions don't come through. All throughout I wished that the story-telling would pick up but it stayed bland. #romantsy #juliegarwood

This was ok. I liked the heroine, and the plot, while far-fetched, was fun. But the kissing scenes were sooooo awkward. Why so much tongue rubbing?‽! I don't think I've ever read a romantic suspense book before though, so I appreciated that there was actual plot in between the sexy scenes, as opposed to the last romance I read.

I was in the mood for something light, and @ScientistSam got me interested in this one yesterday. Fun so far!
