This was excellent and inspirational! I love Felicia Fay, and she made me laugh a lot while reading this. It was definitely fun, but I have a confession...I did not write all over it and do the excercises 😲 so I will have to revisit it. And in round 2, I should use it as the creative journal it was designed to be!

I had to pick this book up today when I saw it at my local indie bookstore. And when I saw this in the intro, I laughed outright! I love Felicia Day, and I think this might be a pure fun and much needed book at the moment!

Afraid I have to put this down about halfway through. I'm not sure who her target audience is (tween girls maybe???) but the writing is one exclamation point and all-caps word after another. It reads like an overly long blog post talking down to people who want to be creative. I applaud the concept behind this book, but the exercises are quite dumb. Perhaps they really would work only on young people. It's too bad. Day can be entertaining.

I probably would have gotten more out of this if I had been able to do the exercises in the book but since it‘s a library book I couldn‘t. But I did find it funny and the advice useful. If you‘re wanting to be more creative but you‘re unsure, I would give this a read. This book so far is fun and inspiring, and keeps me thinking. I love self help books, especially ones you can write in, so I am all for this book! 📚

Book haul today!!

I'm having fun drawing in a book! I'm not usually into self -help books, but this one is exactly what I need right now. I've been wanting to start doing creative things again, especially writing, but getting started is hard!

I saw Felicia Day this afternoon at NY Comiccon. She discussed her career and her new book. The book is a workbook, in part, you write in it, rip out pages, etc. It seemed from the discussion that some sections of the book are about anxiety.

Book mail! The inside looks awesome and I can't wait to work on it (it's meant to be written in and used like an inspiration journal). Also, I love Felicia Day. She might be my spirit animal. As a side note, Gallery Books needs to NEVER use this cover texture again. It feels like sandpaper.
