I really enjoyed her “Iron Seas“ series written as Meljean Brook, but this “writing forsoothly“ style, to quote Edward Eager, is so not for me.

I need a steaming dominate male book and I hope this fits the bill.
I am now listening to the Fated Mates on this episode and 1) I still find their cisnormativity tiring & 2) I think they are way off base with this book being about men fearing women
Welp, I bought this and then assumed I wouldn't like it (I make good choices!) but this book fucking RULES. Ate this right up, looking forward to eating up the next book too.
Oh book, I love you for this gender neutral usage of tits
Another #bookspinbingo done!
This book had so much potential and starts really strong. This is an epic romance fantasy and very original world building. However, midway it drags and the main character‘s conflict just becomes annoying. There are also major points of the end I strongly dislike. *Content warning for assault (off page) and spoiler in comment.
#AudioJune listen done, I think reading it in book form may be better.
I am posting one book per day from my to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new - don‘t judge me I have a lot of books.
Join the fun if you want. This is day 132.

My favorite book of the year so far! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ All the stars. This book was epic! I could go on about the world Vane built and the fantastic characters, or the story that had me laughing and in tears. Just so amazingly good!
On tonight's walk I listened to the newest episode of Fated Mates. The hosts talked about one of my favorite more recent books, the attached Milla Vane. They enjoyed it as much as I did and had some very interesting insights.
The sky was so hazy, it came out very weird in this picture.
This book reminded me of another epic fantasy/romance series I enjoyed - the Kushiel Legacy, but with more sex. And more monsters. And far more enemies-to-lovers trope. Great world building, well-written character development, and all the shirtless barbarian races you could need...
Headed out this morning! #litsylovefallswap @BookNAround @rsteve388 @Bookgoil
This was unexpected, it came highly recommended but as I don‘t read much fantasy, I wasn‘t sure if it would suit my vibe. I loved it! Fast paced and thrilling, the story was intense and a bit jarring but also fun and filled with great characters to cheer on. I will definitely read the sequel! #Bookspin #Bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks
Cuddle time with the pups and a new book! So nice that it is chilly enough to curl up with a blanket! That is a treat in Texas in September!
My (updated) #BookspinBingo card. Gonna dive into the #Bookspin book as soon as I finish my current fiction read. Thanks for the inspiration, @TheAromaofBooks !
I received my first Baecrate today. It's a book box that features romance books. I decided to try it out and August was the perfect month because it features one of my favorite authors. I really like the Snaccidents Happen lunch bag and the mask that says "I closed my book for this".
I haven‘t posted in so long(it‘s been a hell of a year) but I have to share these books! These are the perfect mix of fantasy and romance! Monsters, magic, and sexy barbarian warriors😍👍
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
You lose points with me right out of the gate when you say dragons and then don‘t give me real dragons. It makes me pout.
This was okay. I had too high of standards going into it, I think. The dialogue is super stilted and the book feels too long for what little is actually accomplished. Also, I am a fan of great world building but the author may have taken it a little bit too far. It was a solid 80% of the book. The sex scenes were impressive.
It‘s been a long week and it‘s only Thursday. Taking a little time for self care with this new #romantsy by one of my favorite authors.
Today's #bookmail is one I read an ARC of and absolutely loved, so of course I had to buy a physical copy for my collection now that it is published.
A new book by Meljean Brooks writing under another pen name! Sooooooo excited!
Release day!! See full review at vampirebookclub.net #5starreview
I need to read 24 books by the end of December if I want to reach my Goodreads 2019 Reading Challenge goal. These 10 pictured, I definitely want to include in those 24. I'm going to start A Heart of Blood and Ashes now. #2019goals
