This series would be great in any 4-6 grade classroom for children who love Star Wars and want a fun spin on it!

Speculative fiction. Published 2013. This is another sci-fi series based on the original Star Wars stories/movies, but is set in a middle school called “Jedi Academy“. It shows readers the awkwardness and humor of middle school in real life and uses all of the original characters and setting from Star Wars. This would be a great read for younger children who love Star Wars but are not advanced enough yet to read the more advanced Star Wars books.

A cute #MiddleGrade book about a boy named Roan who wants to go to Pilot School but instead ends up at the Jedi Academy. He doesn't know how to use the Force and its a bit Harry Potter but set in a Galaxy Far Far Away.

It's been a struggle to get my 8 year old son interested in reading. However, I'm a firm believer that anyone can love reading if you just find the right book. Well, I think I finally found the right thing for my kid. He's been reading for 50 min straight with no sign of stopping! :D

I am part of a running community known as IR4 (www.whoirun4.com), a non-profit organization that pairs athletes of all levels and kinds with children and adults with physical, mental, and developmental special-needs… or children who are often in the shadow of their special-needs siblings.
My running buddy Shelby is turning 9 soon, and she loves Star Wars. I'll be sending this book to her along with some running swag!
