Love, Creekwood: A Simonverse Novella | Becky Albertalli
25 posts | 26 read | 1 reading | 5 to read
Fall in love all over again with the characters from the bestselling Simonverse novels in this highly anticipated epilogue novella. Perfect for fans of Becky Albertalli, the movie Love, Simon, and the new Hulu series spin-off, Love, Victor! Its been more than a year since Simon and Blue turned their anonymous online flirtation into an IRL relationship, and just a few months since Abby and Leahs unforgettable night at senior prom. Now the Creekwood High crew are first years at different colleges, navigating friendship and romance the way their story beganon email. Praise for the Simonverse novels: Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, The Upside of Unrequited, and Leah on the Offbeat: Worthy of Fault in Our Starslevel obsession.Entertainment Weekly, on Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda Heart-fluttering, honest, and hilarious. I cant stop hugging this book.Stephanie Perkins, New York Times bestselling author of Anna and the French Kiss, on The Upside of Unrequited Albertalli has a fantastic ear for voice, and its beautifully on display in Leahs funny, wry, and vulnerable first-person narrative.ALA Booklist (starred review), on Leah on the Offbeat

Was this book unnecessary? Yes. Would I read it again? Also yes. A brief interlude of email correspondence between the characters we know and love from the Simonverse as they navigate college life. This was my February #BookSpin

Gosh, I loved this extended epilogue of the Simonverse. I have grown to love all of these characters and ship all of their relationships. It was nice to see how things work out for them through their first year of college. And, as always, I love the mixed media format - just something that works for me

So cute! I loved the extra sweet love notes to each other. I have to admit it was hard to remember all the characters since I haven‘t read a Simon-Verse book in two months, but I loved it none the less. There were twists that shocked me, to the point where I actually talked out loud. I don‘t really under why it has a 58% pick on here. 4.5⭐️

A novella of emails, this is the story of the Creekwood friends in their first year of college. Simon & Bram are at different colleges & pine for each other a lot. Abby & Leah are roomies. The other friends make some appearances. The emails are their love letters. A fun novella, if a little sappy at times.

I'm not entirely sure why this exists, but Becky donating all proceeds to the Trevor Project brings me joy and if that ending wasn't a setup for a new novel I didn't know I needed until now then idk what it was. (has she said anything about the mere possibility of a new novel? because I really need it now.) Anyway, it was fun. Good to be back with these characters for a spell.

Enjoying a good book with a side of Christmas chocolates? The best!! I enjoyed this bite-sized novella a whole lot. It was nice to get a glimpse of how the old gang is doing and I loved the e-mail format. This felt a little like fanfiction to me and I have to say that it really worked for me!📚🍫❤️

I listened to the audiobook and then read the ebook. Much better with the eyes than with the ears. Since the story is all through email, I can skip over all the email addresses when reading.

This was cute and fun and checked back in with the couples from the two main novels. It hit some points and made me feel stuff, but idk if it was just short or the email story-telling just wasn't enough but...it felt like it should be something tucked in the end of Leah on the Offbeat.

This was a cute bonus to the Simonverse which managed to also make me feel a little old and a little lonely. I did love that it managed to tie in both the original tilt a whirl and the movie Ferris Wheel.

Becky Albertalli‘s books never disappoint. Told entirely through emails, this novella captures the voice & angst of the Creekwood High alums‘ first year of college. It reminded me of my own college correspondence with my high school friends; we were scattered across the country & email was new, long before social media kept people in touch. I love these characters, who in my head will forever sound like the Love, Simon actors. #ya #teachersoflitsy

An overview of what happened next in the Simonverse through the medium of emails written between the characters of the Simon world.

I must not like books written through emails only. I feel like there is a lot to be said and a lot left out.

Overall the Simonverse books were a cute read that had moments that I adored, but mostly it did not spark my emotions like similar storylines.

What a soft-hearted bastard of a novella ❤️

After finishing Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead I have decided I am in desperate need of something that will make my heart happy. These will hopefully do the trick.

Just the lighthearted read I needed after some heavy nonfiction. How are our favorite teens adjusting to life in college, this short (entirely too short in my opinion) novella of their lives, as seen through their emails to each other gave me all the warm hearted feelings of the original books, and left me wanting more (as always).

Is it just me or is this giving off Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West vibes?
