A grouchy mountaineer, a Hollywood starlet And miles of untamed wilderness... What could possibly go wrong? Former Hollywood darling River Lane's acting career is tanking fast. Determined to start fresh behind the camera, she agrees to film a documentary about the picturesque small town of Moose Springs, Alaska. The assignment should have been easy, but the quirky locals want nothing to do with River. Well, too bad: River's going to make this film and prove herself, no matter what it takes. Or what (literal) mountain she has to climb. Easton Lockett may be a gentle giant, but he knows a thing or two about survival. If he can keep everyone in line, he should be able to get River and her crew up and down Mount Veil in one piece. Turns out that's a big if. The wildlife's wilder than usual, the camera crew's determined to wander off a cliff, and the gorgeous actress is fearless. Falling for River only makes Easton's job tougher, but there's only so long he can hold out against her brilliant smile. When bad weather strikes, putting everyone at risk, it'll take all of Easton's skill to get them back home safely...and convince River she should stay in his arms for good. Sweet series. Glad I finally read this one too. Perfect summer read.

This is the third Moose Springs Alaska book and honestly I think it's my favorite of the series. We get Easton's story as he falls for an actress/director who is trying to film a documentary of the town. That obviously doesn't go so well so he guides her crew on a climb of Mt. Veil. The characters and romance felt realistic, plus there was some good mountain climbing adventure and high stakes.

I like the vibe of this book - small Alaskan town, lots of love stories waiting to be told. But this one takes place during a serious mountain climb where the heroine and her film crew make stupid, life-threatening decisions. It took the fun out of the romance for me. I may still check out the others in the series.

wanderinglynn I like the first one in this series but the other two, not so much for similar reasons as you point out. 3y
thebluestocking @wanderinglynn That‘s good to know. I‘ll put the first one on my list. 3y

Also finished this one on my Kindle. It was an enjoyable, fun read set in Alaska. A crew from L.A. come up to film a documentary of Moose Springs, but the residents want nothing to do with the filming. However, River is not to be deterred. Enter Easton, who winds up roped into all kinds of "help" for the crew, including taking them up Mount Veil,

tracey38 which could be a tough go, especially when the weather turns for the worse, multiple accidents take place, and he and River start to feel more for each other than either was expecting. A cute and fun read. 3y

I loved the first two books of the Moose Springs series. The third installment left me a bit underwhelmed, but still a decent read on a cold winters night.

This was my favorite of the series. The characters continue to grow and I loved the outdoors setting. Not just being in Alaska, but experiencing the wilderness and the excitement of climbing. And the hero? Well, he was pretty awe-inspiring too! #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks #Pantone2022 #Spunsugar @Clwojick

TheAromaofBooks I keep meaning to read these!!! They sound like they would be right up my alley! 3y

A soft pick. This series is starting to lose me a bit. Some characters are starting to be too much. Still a feel good chilly read! Close to a bingo on this board! #wintergames2021 #teamgamesleighers

1. Cabin or RV. Never been in a yurt though it sounds really fun.
2. Camp Blue Water!
3. The tagged really made me want to go mountain climbing and I don‘t even like heights 😂
4. Read at least 2 books with at least one being from my own shelves and not the libraries!

ChasingOm I loved this trilogy of books. ❤️ 3y
ImperfectCJ I've visited a yurt but didn't stay in it. It definitely wasn't one of the glamorous ones on Instagram, but I suspect it would have been a comfy spot to sleep. Glad to have you at camp this week! 3y

It was okay. Better than the second book but it was too contrived. This is a series that didn‘t really work for me. I think she would‘ve been better off with having book 1 as a stand alone instead of trying to do a series.

Plus, the narrator‘s attempt at a Wyoming accent (whatever that is) sounded wrong. Not sure she‘s ever been to Wyoming. My friend Ali is from Wyoming and I‘ve been there several times but never heard anyone sound like that.

Well this was everything I had hoped this series could be - at last! Great hero and heroine, a degree of peril and a marmot for comic relief. Loved it!

charl08 I think the marmot was my favourite character! 4y

I didn‘t know this was a part of a series, but I loved this book. The romance felt real and the adventure was great. I wanted so badly to see their documentary in the end.

I liked this book, but not because I was that attached to the heroine, River. The OTP, for me, was Easton and the marmot. Of all the male leads in Moose Springs, Easton is my favorite, he's just a warm cinnamon roll in the shape of a sexy mountain man.

Release day for the third book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series! 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 @BookishMarginalia can attest to the fact that I did a literal happy dance.

Chrissyreadit Ohh! My mom loves these books- I ordered the first one for a Litsy swap- but it did not come in until long after swap closed but when my mom saw it she had to read it because.....Alaska- then she ordered the second .... now I feel like I need to read these sooner, and order the third.... 4y
WanderingBookaneer @ChrissyReadIt: My wife likes cozy mysteries, these are cozy, contemporary romances. The townspeople are quirky and outsiders (including readers) can‘t help but falling in love with Moose Springs. Each book has made me chuckle aloud. 4y

Best of the series. Romance with a huge dose of adventure, that caused a tad bit of anxiety (I don‘t see myself ever being a mountain climber). I hope there are more Moose Springs Books. #AnyWayYouReadathon

maich Is this one related to Christmas or only winter? Is is the third book, can be read as a standalone? 4y
kimmypete1 @maich It‘s actually takes place in summer, but they‘re in Alaska and go up a mountain. It is the third book, but you don‘t need to have read the others (but I enjoyed those as well). 4y
