Friends!!!! Do any of you follow Gail Carson Levine on IG? She is delightful in talking about her books!!! I think i want to read many books i did not know had been written. If you do look at her page I would love to hear what you think too!

there are a lot of packages going out today… including (but not limited to: #naughtychristmaslistswap #winterwitchswap #jolabokaflodswap

I tagged one of my favorite books set during Winter. I can‘t wait to hear about yours! Feel free to share here or create your own post.
#midwintersolace #fridayshare #winterbooks

This was ok- better than so-so- low pick but good for a filler and hea style. She‘s searching for connections with long lost family, he‘s part of a generational curse. There was some confusion where I think the story could have been filled in and some places it dragged. it is a bit spicy.
also my #jolabokaflodswap arrived ❤️❤️❤️

I am finally reading this book. For a book club. Thursday. Is it unputdownable?

happy #hyggehourreadathon day!!!!
I am recovering in bed and reading and dozing all day. Can‘t wait to hear about your cozy hour ❤️

Another fun episode (#11) in this series. A patient is murdered in a Dr.s office and then there are plot twists… is it due to negligence? revenge? Can the dr be held accountable for other problematic behavior? I do like this series…

I liked this book more than the first. I fo think there may have been a few too many plots going on but they all meshed with the story. The love triangle is a little bit annoying- i am curious to see how it all ends in book 3.

This is a local book club pick- or i may have skipped over it. I‘m glad it was picked, but honestly it‘s more like reading an iteration of a retelling of a translated book. So not super original, but with some original components and fairly fast paced. I did enjoy it…. I would love to hear other opinions…

Fun, cozy second book in a series- takes on another love story in this small town. Perfect for chill reads with enjoyable characters and setting.

I love this list Mikala - I always know I will enjoy a book if you have it listed as a Pick! We have a few on here I loved this year too- A Simple Twist of Fate, Shield of Sparrows and The Serpant and The Wolf. I suspect i will read quite a few of the others you listed if not all of them 💚 #auldlangspine

#midwintersolace This will typically be a Friday post but I will be limited in posting this Friday- Open to everyone!! I love seeing the nature books everyone is reading!

My hygge hour is a little early because i cannot keep my eyes open. Super cozy book and super cozy night. I hope you are all having a cozy time as well.

Happy #hyggehourreadathon day to all who celebrate 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 Can‘t wait to share a cozy hour with you!

#midwintersolace is back to bring cozy and comfort into our lives.

I read these when I learned that Tears of the Wolf is a sort of prequel. The writing is not as good as these newest two books, but it‘s a solid story about two cursed individuals trying to survive, break their curses and have fallen in love- and basically a lot of people are trying to capture and or kill them. Also monsters.

These were light, fun, a little spicy historical romances. Perfect for when I could focus but wanted to read and everything will work out in the end.

I loved this Sequel to Tears of The Wolf. I‘m reading the books this author wrote previously and really appreciate how much she has grown in the way she tells a story. This is a fantasy viking inspired with magic and romance - there will be a third book.

Each book features a sibling in this small town Montana series. I enjoyed the characters and the HEA, and really was just the right fluff to read in October.

The local bookclub picked crossroads to read because Devney Perry and Jay Kristoff were coming to town. I loved her Romantasy Shield of Sparrows- and am really enjoying her contemporary romances too- Formulaic and HEA but I like the characters and backstories!

I just realized I have not been posting books as I read- no clue how that happened!!! I had a hard time getting into this book- and for the first half would have considered it a so-so, but as parts came together I began to enjoy it more and by the end was satisfied with the direction it went in. This is the first of a duology- and I would love to hear other thoughts/discuss with anyone else who read it.

I really need someone to teach me how to cook, how to like cooking, and how to store food. I‘m not thriving because health becomes overwhelming and if I could just get this accomplished I feel like i could reduce the amount of drowning I am doing.

I constantly try to fit in in WV. My son and I just had a several hours long conversation about masking- something I‘ve done purposefully since High School (for senior celebrity i was class ditz) Sometimes it is to reduce loneliness and sometimes it is for ease- but now I feel myself slipping in and out of the masks because it feels necessary and appropriate in the situation. Sometimes life-ing is just hard!

I really appreciate the opportunity in this book to recognize me. I am a pretty messy, emotional, curious and caring person. I can be judgy at times (my shadow side) and do strive to be compassionate. I‘m also frustrated with myself for not being smarter, more organized and less chaotic.

Hi friends! As you can tell I am not someone who is consistent with timelines and due dates. My combination of Chronic Epstein Barr (2 week flare i think i‘m at end of) and ADHD (I really struggle with planning ahead) mean I will be getting posts out but not on a consistent timeline. Please feel free to post at anytime whenever you choose- and wherever you are in the book.

Happy #hyggehourreadathon day!!! 7-8 your time! or really any time that works for best for you!! Share a picture of your cozy reading hour and use the hashtag ❤️

Happy #hyggereadathon day!!! Today I am resting up after getting my covid vax yesterday- So relieved to finally have it! Tonight is the inaugural bookclub meeting for Miss Willa‘s bookclub- ibuprofen will be my best friend!!! I can‘t wait to see how you all fit in an hour of cozy reading in community ❤️

In previous chapters we read about learning to trust ourselves, then this sentence appears! It is a terrifying perspective for those of us who have lived with domestic violence- but in a specific context it is most likely a vital truth. The context of fear, trust and safety- and how do we ever find it after the death of that experience? That is when we have to discern between fear because of danger vs fear because of trauma. Thoughts?

Sedna is mentioned in the first part of this chapter so i thought i would share the Goddess card reflection of her I have. If you read it I would be curious to hear how it was received or impacted your thoughts in relation to this chapter and yourself.

My responses are leaving high school, endings of friendships, home the way i lived in it and going to college, then leaving college and going to work- then end of childhood and beginning of adulting…. and of course life after divorce - This cycle does play out in numerous ways through life experiences.

Went to hear this author speak about her book and experiences (Leanna Renee Heiber) and Then took a ghost tour with the group (of Shepherdstown) - A lot of fun!! BUT So cold!!! I wore my hat made by @MommyOfTwo and it was perfect!!!

My #ahrs and #mws packages are in the mail as of yesterday. I have now received both my #allhallowsreadswap package and my #modernwitchswap package and am impatiently waiting with anticipation and excitement!!!!
