My #Goldsboro book finally arrived the other day and I put everything aside to read it! This is a suspense story set in the world of ballet 🩰 with Swan Lake emphasis. So many twists and turns. Really a solid suspense thriller. #balletreadchallenge #springread

Erin Kelly has written a clever thriller centered in the ballet world of Swan Lake. Ava Kirilova has practiced and worked hard her whole life and has finally reached the coveted position of dancing the lead role of Swan Lake. As in all competitions, there are other ballet dancers who are just waiting for her to fall off this pedestal so they can slip into this role.

EadieB Different narrators tell the story and there is lots of drama, intrigue and dark secrets which help to create twists and turns that lead to the surprise end that I didn't see coming. The book is a slow burn but keeps you hooked as you can feel the plot building. The writing is excellent and made me want to read more of the author's books. If you love thrillers, you need to add this to your list. 3y
EadieB I would like to thank NetGalley and Hodden and Stroughton Publishers for a free copy for an honest review. To be published 9/14/21 3y
Twainy Adding it to my Library Recommendations 😁 3y

I‘m currently reading and enjoying Watch Her Fall, a ballet themed thriller! And aren‘t these sprayed edges insane!?

JennyM @Oryx your description of it as ballet noir is perfect, Emma 🩰😀 I‘m enjoying it so far @cathythoughts @freespirit …although not read that much of it. I do like Erin Kelly‘s writing - she‘s subtle and very clever. Looking forward to the twists 👍 3y

Ballet noir anyone? This was a good twisty turny read - much twistier than I thought. It won't change your life, but it will keep you turning the pages (it did for me, at least).

Daisy is just being casual.

rockpools Daisy does casual SO well! 4y
Oryx @rockpools this pose is also known as 'white van puppy'. 4y
squirrelbrain I spy a great pile of books behind Daisy too.... 4y

Oryx @squirrelbrain three of them are Kev's but he hasn't picked one up yet - prefers to watch them lake. But it's either The Liar's Dictionary or Where the Lost Wonder next for me. 4y

Look at those lovely edges. I need a double-sided bookcase - spines on one side, pretty edges on the other.

Hooked_on_books That‘s so cool! This is such an amazing detail and it isn‘t used often enough. 4y
Caroline2 Pretty!!! 😍 4y
Headinherbooks_27 Beautiful and the story looks interesting too! Will put this in my Book Depository wishlist. 😉 4y

This wasn't quite the book I was expecting. I absolutely loved the parts that revolved around the ballet company but the other parts were not so appealing. The twist was good and I was slightly annoyed with myself that I didn't see it coming until about 70% of the way through the book. 3.5🌟

Thanks to NetGalley and publishers, Hodder & Stoughton, for the opportunity to read an ARC. #NetGalley
