Going Rogue
Going Rogue: Rise and Shine Twenty-Nine | Janet Evanovich
30 posts | 29 read | 1 reading | 3 to read
Stephanie Plum breaks the rules, flirts with disaster, and shows whos boss in the latest smash hit from #1 New York Times bestselling author Janet Evanovich. Monday mornings arent supposed to be fun, but they should be predictable. However, on this particular Monday, Stephanie Plum knows that something is amiss when she turns up for work at Vinnies Bail Bonds to find that longtime office manager Connie Rosolli, who is as reliable as the tides in Atlantic City, hasnt shown up. Stephanies worst fears are confirmed when she gets a call from Connies abductor. He says he will only release her in exchange for a mysterious coin that a recently murdered man left as collateral for his bail. Unfortunately, this coin, which should be in the officejust like Connieis nowhere to be found. The quest to discover the coin, learn its value, and save Connie will require the help of Stephanies Grandma Mazur, her best pal Lula, her boyfriend Morelli, and hunky security expert Ranger. As they get closer to unraveling the reasons behind Connies kidnapping, Connies captor grows more threatening and soon Stephanie has no choice but to throw caution to the wind, follow her instincts, and go rogue. Full of surprises, thrills, and humor, Going Rogue reveals a new side of Stephanie Plum, and shows Janet Evanovich at her scorching, riotous best.

This one made me laugh as every book in the series has. Loved that both Gramma Mazur and Gramma Bella got to ride along for captures.

#seriesLove2023 Wrap Up

My goal was to read 24 books between adult and kids series, I managed to read 22 books total. Most of the books I read were middle grade but I managed to start two new series, Thursday Murder Club and Mrs. Morris. Going Rouge kept me current on Evanovich and I read one book, book 3 in the ongoing series of Magical Bakery.

I was so ready to be a hater but 29 was actually hilarious. Lots of Grandma time (with bonus Morelli‘s Grandma Bella shenanigans), the stakes felt urgent, there was lots of Ranger… and now I‘m ready for the next instalment to come through for me at the library!

August wrap up for #serieslove2023

Only managed one book this month for series love and it was just ok. If you‘re familiar with Stephanie Plum it‘s just a lot of the same old without any plot advancement or character growth.

Finally got around to reading my April #Bookspin book! Another fun romp through the Burg with Stephanie Plumb. Ranger was a lot more visible than he has been for a while and I enjoyed seeing more of Joe‘s Grandma Bella.

It‘s Monday morning at Vinnie‘s Bail Bonds and office manager Connie, who is always early and armed with donuts, is nowhere to be found. With a concerted effort from Lula, Grandma M., Ranger, Joe, and Stefanie - they‘re off to rescue Connie from her abductor. Hilarious and exciting

My hubby is crashed on the couch with the flu. Seems like the perfect time for a readathon. I keep thinking I‘ll give up on this series, but they are always such great “between” books.

I know you all need a pic of me reading while sitting on the floor of a train to Paris. Flashbacks to being a teen doing study abroad. Tagged is actually the book I was reading.

Suet624 I love getting a peek at you and your world. 2y
dabbe No matter where you are or where you sit, one should always have a book at the ready. 🤗 2y

This book had everything but the kitchen sink and was so fun to listen to! I've been with this series since the beginning, It's kind of a cross between chicklit - cozy mystery - suspense 😅 I would laugh out loud while reading, And the funny bits are even funnier when you're listening to the audio. In this book, you learn why Monday's have a bad name! Office manager Connie has been kidnapped. As we make our way through the(cont in comments)...

TheHeartlandBookFairy the book everyone connected to the bail bond's office is kidnapped at 1 point or another. Mild torture happens. Stephanie the bail bond's person is usually doing the hunting but the tables are turned and at some point she becomes the hunted. The office is burglarized and bombed. Multiple cars are destroyed. The grandma's are a hoot and a 1/2. There is sex, hot and heavy kissing and innuendo. You gotta love a good Stephanie plum novel! 2y

Goals for #SeriesLove2023 adult picks. Once again this is a loose idea of a reading map to stay current and to start a new series of books I own. If I can manage to read 12 books between my kid and adult picks I‘ll be a happy camper and my physical tbr wil be lighter.

TheSpineView Looks good! Thanks for playing 2y

Loved loved loved it! There were some laugh out loud moments as Stephanie, Lula and crew try to take out a kidnapper. This one felt more like the earlier books in the series, with the exception of maybe a more skilled Stephanie. Excellent escape read and the best way to finalize my 2022 reading journey. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ❤️📚

This series makes me laugh. Out loud, in public, sometimes hard enough to cry. I grew up in NJ & went to college in the area where these take place. I love having been places in the books. Grandma & Lula are amazing sidekicks. Plus… Morelli, Ranger & (sometimes) Diesel. ☺️

A lot of the books in this series run together because the stories are too similar. But that‘s not the case with this one. We still have all the fun characters I know and love and a great story to go alongside it. I can‘t wait for the next one!

Man, these books make me laugh. Are they works of literary genius? Nah. But I love these characters. (Please universe, give us a short story about Grandma Mazur and Nonna Bella having to team up.) #goingrogue #riseandshinetwentynine #janetevanovich #stephanieplum #teammorelli #butrangerisababe
