I borrowed this after @TheBookHippie ‘s post about the author, while I don‘t have a new fave; I would try her again. (I just spent a bit too much time trying to figure out if I was supposed to have empathy for the main character Traci or if I was supposed to love to hate her… spoilers: empathy lol)

From the cover, you‘d think this is a fluffy summer read, or at least I did! But it‘s more mystery, with secrets and betrayals, and very light on romance. It was good though! Not what I was expecting, but it kept me turning the pages!

This one is a little different than other Mary Kay Andrews books, with more mystery and less romance than her other books, but it was still a good book. I was just looking for a lighter, more upbeat and funny story.

I didn‘t walk today because my knee was a bit tender, but I did finish this book. Don‘t be fooled by the cover — it‘s not as fluffy as it looks. There‘s mystery and a little romance, as well as betrayal and secrets coming to light. I found the ending particularly satisfying.

I‘ve got a little under two hours left in this book, so I‘ll probably finish it tomorrow, but I haven‘t picked a new book yet. I managed to walk and not fall today, so that was good. #audiowalk

Shorter walk today because I tripped and fell on my bad knee and scraped my hand and cut my thumb. I‘m fine, but, weirdly, falling like that made me suddenly tired, so I went home. Tracy, in this book, is just not listening to me. I‘ve told her and told her not to trust a particular character, but she keeps on doing it. #audiowalk

I wasn‘t in the mood for the whiny breaking up characters of Funny Story, so I switched to the whiny for other reasons characters in Mary Kay Andrews‘ latest book. I‘ll go back to Funny Story later. It‘s getting to be in the 90s here, but at least there was a breeze. #audiowalk

Andrews‘ latest release makes for a great, beachy read with a little less fluff and more substance. With multiple perspectives (though some drop off rather abruptly), Andrews brings to life an exclusive resort on a Georgian island as it struggles with the recovering industry post-pandemic & the family drama at the heart of this— with a dash of murder, romance and plenty of secrets & betrayal! A satisfying conclusion makes this great for vacation!

Don't let the cover fool you into thinking this is a fluffy read. The plot moves through many different serious subjects, making the HEA hard earned and bittersweet. It kept me reading far too late into the night.

♥️ As I am sure you KNOW by now, this is a book you do NOT want to miss. ❤️

I receive Advanced Readers Copy. Sat down to read few pages and got sucked into the story. Finished in one afternoon. Cover is like The Saint - picture perfect but hiding secrets. Classic MKA. Beautiful setting, mystery, and a little romance. Bad people get what they deserve. And now I want pink beach umbrellas, lounge chairs and pink themed cocktails.😎

I can't believe this is the first Mary Kay Andrews book I have read. I've seen several and even own two besides this one yet have not read her until now.

I started this book and fell in love with it's beauty. The beauty of the words and people. The way the words flowed so effortlessly through the pages.

Who wouldn‘t want to be a guest at the Saint?

The exclusive resort was only affordable to the rich, but the next best thing would be to work there.
