Vince Luca is just like any other high school guy. His best friend, Alex, is trying to score vicariously through him; his brother is a giant pain; and his father keeps bugging him to get motivated. There is just one thing that really sets him apart for other kidshis father happens to be the head of a powerful crime organization. Needless to say, while Vince''s family''s connections can be handy for certain things (like when teachers are afraid to give him a bad grade), they can put a serious crimp in his dating life. How is he supposed to explain to a girl what his father does for a living? But when Vince meets a girl who finally seems to be worth the trouble, her family turns out to be the biggest problem of all. Because her father is an FBI agentthe one who wants to put his father away for good.

Mehso-so

This book is about Vince Luca, a normal seventeen year old other than his dad is a mob boss. When he finds out that his father is ripping people off, he goes to investigate. This story is really confusing up to about the middle where a lot comes to light about what is happening

I am about half way through this book and it is still a little confusing. I don‘t know if it is because I might of missed the page or the author hasn‘t mentioned it yet.

If you are a teacher or parent of reluctant readers then please check out this book!!! I read this every year with my 8th graders and they LOVE IT!
The MC is a 17yr old male whose father is a Mob boss but is determined not to get caught up in the “family business”. However this is nearly impossible, esp when he starts dating the daughter of the FBI agent investigating his family.
This book is hilarious with heart!

Day 22: Young Adult
My favorite part of every school year is reading this book with a bunch of big, tough teens who HATE to read! Hooks them every time!
