This book was a real page turner, with slot of action.
To start a mother is beheaded in a park, and her son has gone missing. To help with the case is a man that was kidnapped and held in a silo for many years, the man who kidnapped him he called the father, is he still alive or is it a copycat? Great read.

ellemarr Ooooh very intriguing! 5y

An intricately-plotted thriller. Kill the Father is an international bestseller and I believe Dazieri‘s first U.S. wide release. Looks like this will be the first in a series involving two interesting, damaged protagonists.

Overall, pretty good book. I loved the dual storylines from both "lead" characters. Some parts moved slowly, especially in the beginning. Dark novel, very twisted.

A character driven crime novel that fans of the genre will enjoy! A fast-paced and gripping read - I‘ll definitely be reaching for the next installment in this new series.

This was a fantastic thriller. Definitely a new favourite. The characters were incredibly nuanced and the story was fast moving and fascinating. The ending was satisfying whilst still leaving room for the next book in this series. Five stars !

This is a brilliant book although I did find it hard to begin with due to all the Italian names, but after a while that phased away. Well thought out, lots of twists and turns. I would highly recommend it! #Sunday #bookworm #father

I really enjoyed this book and found it to be a really well written police thriller. It's quite a big book for the genre (almost 500 pages) but it didn't really ever feel like that long of a book. I did find the direction it went in to be a bigger stretch then I expected, and I'm still not sure how I feel about it, but I loved that it kept me guessing until the end. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes mysteries. Looking forward to the sequel!

Holy shit. What an actual roller-coaster this book is. And I haven't been this invested in a quirky fictional duo since The Millennium books. And the writing was so beautiful and funny. The translation so fluid. And Italy. Of course. The actual case I wasn't so down with, but bring on the next book. And y'all have to read this one. Consider it a request on my birthday.

#TBRtemptation post! This just-released mystery thriller is a debut novel & the first in the Colomba Caselli series. A woman's beheaded in a Rome park & her boy's missing. The Chief of the Major Crimes Unit brings in Colomba, a fierce investigator, & Dante Torre, a man who spent his childhood trapped inside a concrete silo fed through his kidnapper's, The Father's, gloved hand. Evidence shows The Father is back. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎

As unlikely a buddy-cop pairing as you are likely to find, disgraced-on-leave-investigator dragged back into the thick of things by ex-captive-espresso-addict (now an unorthodox ace missing persons consultant). Kill the Father keeps reader guessing throughout/genuinely captivating leads&twists-a-plenty as the two trail after the aforementioned "Father" or "guy-that-kept-Dante-locked-up-in-silo-twenty-five-years-ago-and-referred-to-him-as-beast."

Suet624 Love this review. ❤ 8y

Good so far- two people thrown together- a female cop w/panic attacks and a questionable past and a neurotic, fears leaving the house, cars, etc former victim of the Father to solve a new crime. Good, but too long for a story like this-486 pgs. Lots of filler chapters.

Reading for review. Translation of an Italian bestseller. I started it late last night and immediately wanted to pick it up in the morning. Strange start, but it is intriguing. Officer on leave w/panic attacks and a past is brought in to investigate a decapitation and kidnapping. Summer type read.
