I think Vaughn is kind of a dud, but sentient beings formed by the psychic internet make up for it

Slowly rereading one of my favorite series. I read this book so long ago that I forgot how much I loved it. Changelings are my favorite and it was fun seeing the introduction of characters with major roles in future books.
I‘m enjoying the romances, but the world building is my favorite part so far. I love the unique spin on were vs unemotional business obsessed Psy.
Now having said that, I am worried it might become a bit formulaic, always the unemotional (virginal) Psy girl and passionate animalistic (stalking) Were male… But the next book looks like it shifts that dynamic, so I‘m very curious how that works out & interested to see how this series progresses.
This second Psy-Changeling book continues world-building, adding depth to how the PsyNet functions and the different types of Psy.
F-Psy are foreseers, but since the Silence have only used their foreseeing for business purposes. Yet F-Psy Faith has started to get other visions and needs to figure out what they mean.
I enjoyed the romance, though book 1 was my favorite so far in that regard. I really enjoy the world-building arc!

Gorgeous day, so Peri and I went for a walk at the Nature Park. #audiowalking
About 1hr30 left of this audiobook. High chance I'll get it finished before Monday.
I get that the “I am the beast, and I will push your boundaries because we are fated” thing is part of the subgenre, but I still struggle with my squick over that. However I am loving the world-building elaboration, and what I assume is the continuing setup for a long series arc. I started reading Singh because she was about to guest at my local SF con (just canceled) but I‘m going to keep going. #paranormal #romantsy
I love these so much. They're formulaic, brain numbing, adorable, actiony, fantastic books I haven't stopped listening to. I hope she doesn't lose her mind around book 10.
Let me start by saying, I'm not usually into romance. But the fantasy world-building in this series is so ON POINT. The world she has built is awesome and complex. I would recommend this series to any fantasy fan, as long as romance doesn't make you hate a storyline. There were a couple really good sex scenes in here - but it doesn't overpower what's happening in the plot (though they are well done, too).
I liked the #urbanfantasy & sci fi #dystopia of this more than the #romance. The formation of the romantic relationship was forced & weak & didn‘t really work for me but I liked the other parts of the story enough to make it a pick. #romantsy
And I also looked at the sale shelves. I mean, where else can I get 12 books for $3?
I enjoyed this book but not quite as much as the first one. I don't really know why, so I can't give a solid reason for only finding it so so. However, I'm very much looking forward to the next book! Also #V #LitsyAtoZ I'm done!!
Was waiting for me bestie so we could have dinner. She just texted and said she can't make it. At least I'll get some reading time in--the weather is glorious!
Reunited and it feels so good! It's been quite a weekend with almost no chance to read. Work, a baby shower, and a concert last night and hanging out with the band after means I'm flying on four hours of sleep and little patience but I'm home now and reunited with my couch and my book and I'm looking forward to some reading time!
It's my day off so I'm going to take one of those decadent middle of the day baths. And start this book, which is due back at the library soon. And listen to some My Favorite Murder.
Oh Nalini... I love your books. Some of the guys are just a tad possessive though. Vaughn in particular!
Book 2 in the series centres around an F-Psy and one of the Darkriver sentinels. Faith has started having visions of death and darkness. After her sister is murdered, she sets out to find the one Psy who may be able to provide her with answers about her visions, but finds herself being hunted by a Changeling who wants to claim her as his own.
I love rereading a series, as you pick up things you previously missed. Little hints of things to come that only make sense in later books. But, it also reminds you of small parts that you forget after finishing a series.
I had forgotten how sweet and innocent the netmind was. I imagine it like a cute little black cloud ☁️

I love the way each of the psy-changeling books start. It's like having a mini lesson on the psy ☺️

I really enjoyed this book! I thought it was well paced and loved the characters.
