pickThis is not a novel I might have picked up for myself, but when a colleague/friend recommended it, I was all in. It's definitely intriguing as you follow along through this journey with Martha Ballard. Everything about her and her family leads to questions and a good amount of satisfying answers at the end. #32-2025

This is a collection of short stories, powerful ones in terms of topics. First book I read by this author and looking forward to read more books by her. However, my experience with short story collections is that I like some more that the others and this is not an exception. Also, some stories I saw them more narrative, informative than a short story per se. It was the same experience I had with In A Dream Hoyse ⬇️

This is the conclusion (supposedly) of Mirren Triggs trilogy) I know first book is already translated (The Snow Girl) which is a Netflix series.
I liked the conclusion. At the end we see a mature Mirren who decides to make a choice in her relationship and life in general. The case in this story is so sad. A body was found with his “mouth sewn” and a father looking for his son who disappeared 30 years ago. 3.8/4⭐️

panA good book, but it felt too familiar... oh because it has the EXACT SAME plot as the movie Hope Floats. Book #32 in 2025
