We have been fostering Lil Bit for a month and adopted her Monday! It has been a long month! She was in heat twice and Tux has not been very happy with the addition! She was spayed Monday and is doing great! Hopefully they will continue to warm up to each other! 🖤🤍🖤 🐾

She was very nervous today on her first trip outside on the porch! 🌞

I think this is progress! They still don‘t love each… maybe with time!

Tux has been a little under the weather. I thought Lil bit had scratched his eye and took him to the vet. She gave him some eye drops, but now the other eye is irritated and he‘s sneezing 🤧 can I give him Benadryl??? Help!

ShelleyBooksie No benadryl unless a vet tells you the safe dosing instructions. If he is getting some upper respiratory symptoms he may need further treatment from a vet :(. I hope he is feeling better soon! 2w

JanuarieTimewalker13 My cat had an ear infection. The vet gave her an antibiotic shot and ear drops. I had a nagging feeling it was a food allergy, and I think that‘s what it was bc I never followed up with the drops but I cut out the Churu treats. So far, so good. It‘s been about 3 weeks now. It‘s like being a detective with cats- not easy to figure some stuff out. Hope your sweet baby feels better soon❤️ (edited) 2w

Well… this is interesting! No, you do not have double vision!! 😂We are fostering the kitty in my lap to see how she will do with Tux! She‘s approximately 6 months old. The people at the shelter said she was very timid and wouldn‘t let anyone pet her, but she seems to like me! Tux is not very happy though 😫 any advice?!?! Also I need help with a name!!

KateReadsYA I would set up a cozy spot on the floor where they both can be around you and some toys and just let them slowly move around each other and get familiar! :) I'm not cat expert haha but that's how I introduced my doggos and thankfully they are rarely ever apart. 💛 1mo

marleed I‘ve never had luck combing a cat to love a new kitten but I think that‘s because all of my cat‘s learned kitten disdain from the cat already living in our house when it arrived as a new family member. I‘ve also never convinced a cat that hamsters were not a midnight snack 🤨. I vote for Seedo -get it 🤪 1mo

Here was her experience (but all cats are different)…”honestly keeping them separate for awhile helped with percy and bobo…like in separate rooms and let them sniff each other from under the door for a few days, then supervised visits ☺️ and maybe give each of them a toy or something that smells like the other cat so they get used to the scent.” 1mo

Tamra In my cat-kitten experience, they work it out fairly quickly. I‘ve not separated them. Adult cat to adult cat might be a different story. 😸 1mo

Mimi28 I agree with @robinb especially if Tux isn‘t too happy right now. Use a blanket or a toy that she has laid on and put it wherever he is hiding right now. Also, give him equal affection or he‘ll really get sour. Supervised feeding and playing together may be a good idea but take your time there also. It‘s a process. You just have to be patient. I like Lola or Fefe as a name or maybe Luna - like the night sky. My youngest cat was 15 when I gave it 1mo

Mimi28 Up, so don‘t remember how I introduced them sorry. Don‘t try and strange foods to get them to eat together or they may get worms. All I remember is I brought 3 kittens in one week and my mom was mad because the female and smallest one kept playing with the wheels of her walker, just had just gotten her second knee replacement. The other 2 were brothers and came from the same house so they were already bonded. The female kitten played with them ok 1mo
