Anyone going to the Texas Book Festival in Austin this weekend? We could do a #litsy meet up? #Texas #texasbookfestival #austin

Suet624 Texas allows book festivals to take place? 🥴 1mo
Julsmarshall Yep! @Suet624 we have quite a few to be honest, at least for now. We are fighting the good fight down here! (edited) 1mo

I‘m all about a book with an Austin, TX setting - such a fun city. I‘ve been reading some heavy books of late and this one was just fun. You know you‘re in for laughs when in the opening scene the MC is flagrantly cheated on by a cad and her immediate revenge is to befriend not just one but two of said cad‘s other lovers.

ChasingOm I really liked this series! 10mo
marleed @ChasingOm oh I didn‘t realize this was part of a series! 10mo
Suet624 Funny enough, I‘ve done the same thing. My cad had good taste in women 😀 and I‘ve become good friends with several of them. 10mo
marleed @Suet624 oh you are my kind of woman! That‘s the best revenge! 10mo

Checked out the newest #Austin Texas bookstore: First Light Bookshop. Delightful! A great curated collection of books-bestsellers, classics, and a couple unique and unfamiliar books I had to bring home.

Soubhiville It‘s cool that it‘s a former post office! 1y

love a Black woman and Black Korean man in tech as our MCs. relationship was cute, realized I read this series all out of order and over the course of almost 2 years. but it‘s your basic rom com. so that means I enjoyed it throughly.

There isn't really any antagonist in this story, it is just about the main characters life, there isn't really any explict goal that someone is stopping him from achieving. Maybe his dad could be considered an antagonist because the main characters parents got divorced and he doesn't really like his dad.

Finished this #Backlist book in anticipation of seeing the author at my upcoming conference in April. One of her earlier books, this was a bit disjointed for me but the mystery was compelling and kept me reading. #borrownotbuy #Bookspin #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

I enjoyed this retelling of Sense and Sensibility! It‘s a sweet story overall, not just the romance part but also the bond between the sisters. And I really did like that this book is told from the perspectives of Jane (the Marianne character) and Callum (the Colonel Brandon character). Would recommend to Austen fans!

Not about what you might think, given the title. It is instead THE preeminent novel about Texas politics. The cover also features an Austin that looks VERY different than it does today. #bookhaul
