This was so stinking adorable. I couldn‘t stop reading out moments with Fukumaru to my boyfriend and pointing out the little illustrations. I also appreciated the underlining battles with grief from the man and almost depression from Fukumaru. I can‘t wait to continue in the series.

My first and definitely not my last Simon cat book. Adorable and funny.

Enjoy!
This was a cute series of short stories and excerpts in relation to Colette‘s French bull dog and cat and various other animals throughout the book. She was a French novelist who wrote the Real Claudine series and Gigi. She has an amazing descriptive style, especially as this was in the first person in the animals perspective throughout the book. I picked this up at a used bookstore on my travels to San Francisco.
An old friend turns up on the Ducote sisters' doorstep, convinced her family are trying to kill her. Unfortunately, the family soon figures out where she's gone and follow, straining the sisters' hospitality to its limits, and that's before the deaths start.
First in a spin-off series. I could definitely have done with a family tree to keep Rosabelle's family straight in my mind.
Needed something light and would make me laugh. Saw someone say this was a lot of fun and it was narrated by Wil Wheaton so I grabbed it. I‘m enjoying this very much
I have read some weird books over the years. But this is right up there.
I guess I expected a cosy mystery, but it‘s more of a thriller, or maybe a crime noir (?!), with the speaking cat having a bit of an existential crisis over the fact that he‘s a speaking cat. All of which is fine.
Then we got to the bit with the phone book. 😵💫🤯.
Seriously weird.
Several people struggling with feeling stuck in a rut find their way to a pop-up cafe run by knowledgeable cats with gentle advice. Adorable and whimsical. I loved the drinks and foods described and the way every story was connected. Some of the women received strange dating advice that put me off a bit. This was one of my recent #Roll100 picks @PuddleJumper
Apparently we are having a family cuddle this morning!
