I am flying through #dungeoncrawlercarl.

Despite the war and chaos this series is still somewhat of a comfort read for me and this installment kept the same vibe as the previous ones. Carl and Donut are forced to make terrible decisions and the horrors are not glossed over so there's definitely some emotional heft. I have no clue where this series is going but I'm definitely all in.

It‘s the start of my weekend and Sierra, Rolo, and I are taking time out to read and be cozy.

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

My book club picked this one and it was a mixed bag for me. The parts showing a slice of life in 1980s/90s Japan were really interesting but the rest wasn‘t very compelling. It just didn‘t really come together as a whole for me. Only one person at the meeting really liked this.

This was a purchase based entirely on the cover and title

Mira has invited Dara, her sister, and several others for Christmas. Told from the cat‘s perspective, it is unfortunate that Dara also brought her cats who love to torture him. When his kittens disappear, he gets into misadventures and trouble trying to find them and keep them safe. Then a friendly visitor saves the day. A cute short story.
Ah, someone took the idea “what if there's actually something sinister behind all the murders happening in [small town]“ and ran with it.
I found it a bit slow at times, and just... didn't wholly click with it. But overall it was a fun idea.

Love this series! This time, our fearless kitties are looking for the Orb of the present and their two friends who where kidnapped. Doubt seeps in when their friends are told by other animals that they won't be saved. Cute graphics and wonderful story.
