Confession: Nina Hill and I have a lot of similarities! In this humorous, light book, the reader gets inside the mind of Nina, a book loving introvert with crippling anxiety. And, she has a cat, with whom she holds deep conversations. It‘s so charming, but yet at times cringeworthy, & I think parts are pretty close to my own thoughts! I greatly enjoyed this one. Thanks for picking it, @TheBookHippie and @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks ! #SundayBuddyRead

Librarybelle In my quest to finish as many #BBRC prompts as possible before the end of the day on the 30th, I‘m using this one for #CatsNap #YeahBaby - not only does Phil the cat have a role in the story, his presence and ability to calm down Nina is yet another connection I have with her. @LibrarianRyan @StayCurious 4y

I throughly enjoyed this book. It was a great quick mystery. It centers around a bookseller, Malcolm, and a blog post he wrote called Eight Perfect Murders. It was compiled from some of the best of the best mystery books and a killer is using it as a checkoff list.

My first book finished for #jennyis30 - #cats . Also, #bbrc #yeahbaby #catsnap

A group of mystery writers is talked into moving into cottages in Brimful Coffers. Lorinda Lucas is enjoying the village until a dislikable reviewer moves into their midst. At the same time, Lorinda is harboring thoughts of killing off her 3 sleuths - and becomes haunted by them. Is she going mad?

Of course the writers‘ cats figure prominently into the plot. 😽

Emilymdxn Fantastic! Well done on your first square 5y

Ring the Hill | Tom Cox

A big ol‘ hug-of-a-book, that‘ll have you wanting to climb a hill, go sea-swimming and/or put another log on the fire. Whilst listening to prog-folk.

I enjoy Tom Cox on Twitter, but wasn‘t sure if that would translate to longer-form. It does. He rambles all over the place (in all senses) but always with a sense of Wonder, sheer enthusiasm for people, places, and the natural world.

rockpools Avoid if you can‘t handle sweary cats/Dads/authors. And you might want to skip the section on the loss of 2 of his cats (end of last chapter) if you‘re feeling fragile.

#BBRC #CatsNap (though his rarely do) and (a bit of a stretch, but...) #Booked2019 #SocialMediaFocus because it‘s a crowdfunded book through Unbound, and he dicusses the impact of his cat‘s SM fame (Newsflash: people are weird!)

This unusual story tells of what happens in the Louvre at night with cats who live in the attic and get tangled with an old man who believes his sister is inside one of the paintings. It‘s a little confusing to start, but then quite sweet and sad. #bbrc #yeahbaby #catsnap

I‘m using this for #CatsNap for #BBRC #YeahBaby since Nina has Phil the cat who “talks” to her.
I didn‘t enjoy this book as much as I expected but it was still a cute read.
