Here‘s our #cult5 contribution, or at least, 5 cult books (I think? Little foggy on the definition!) I found on my shelves. If you think this is interesting you might enjoy our My Sweet Audrina episode, where we talk about some cult classics!

1. The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
2. Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
3. Geek Love by Katherine Dunn
4. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
5. The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon

TheBookstorePodcast Thanks to @Simona for the tag! 7y
Tamra Wind-up Bird! 7y
Kammbia1 I read Wind Up Bird Chronicle over the summer. What a strange, brilliant book! Here's my review: http://marion-hill.com/book-review-113-the-wind-up-bird-chronicle-by-haruki-mura... 7y

OK, for #cult5 I choose five books I have not read, but I think I need to read them soon! *** The Bell Jar *** *** The Hitchhiker‘s Guide to the Galaxy. *** *** A Confederacy of Dunces ***
*** Siddhartha ***
*** A Christmas Carol *** If you haven‘t added your #cult5 books, let me know yours!

Tove_Reads Tried to tag Simona because she tagged me, and then others so that they would continue this tradition, but tagging just doesn‘t seem to happen right now... 7y

Thanks for the tag, @Pruzy

Here are 5 of my favorite cult classics, but I could‘ve easily picked more. #cult5

Pruzy What are I Capture the Castle and the Last Unicorn about? 7y
Brie @Pruzy I Capture the Castle is an epistolary novel with gothic and romantic comedy undertones following a family living in poverty on a crumbling British estate. The Last Unicorn is a fantasy about the last unicorn, a bumbling wizard, and a maid go on a quest to find out what happened to all the unicorns. 7y

Playing a little post catch up here with another tag thanks to @julesG

These are my picks for 5 awesome novels with a cult following. I consider these to be cult novels because they have controversial plot points or transcended their genre and have gained a following.

I tag @Brie @Dogearedcopy @Bookishaf to give a list of their favourite cult novels a shot if they haven‘t done it already! #Cult5

Tagged by @Booksnchill for #cult5. I'm not sure if "Cult" has meaning in the age of the internet but these are 5 that had an impact on my life and a small but fanatical following at the time. They may or may not qualify!! Honestly, I could pick a hundred but these were close at hand.

Booksnchill Oh Calvino and Tipping the Velvet are on my stack now! 7y
SkeletonKey @Booksnchill - So good!! Hope you enjoy them. 7y

Here's my #cult5 as requested @Marchpane @Moray_Reads and @Billypar

When I think Cult books I think devout fan base for something not universally known.

There is a small press devoted to publishing books that attempt to unravel the mysteries of The Book of the New Sun (which Torturer kicks off). I own 2 of them!

People attend screenings of The Last Unicorn in costume and quote along

Flyboy author Jim Munroe was a big...

TobeyTheScavengerMonk deal in the mid-'90s indie publishing scene. - I read an article once about a guy who goes to fantasy conventions and sets up like a sidewalk preacher, but instead of the Word, he tries to talk people into reading The Lies of Locke Lamora because it's just that good. - And Sandman... well, it's Sandman. The wallpaper of the Goth aesthetic. Sandman is also perfect, in case you were wondering. (edited) 7y
DGRachel Lies of Locke Lamora is on my TBR. I guess I need to bump it up. 😊 7y
TricksyTails 😍 Look at all that beautiful Sandman! And The Last Unicorn 🦄♥️ I think my younger self cried and cried and cried over that story. I'll have to bump up Lies of Locke Lamora on my tbr. So much love for this photo. 7y
Billypar I really like the Last Unicorn movie but never read the book. The book would have the advantage of not having the completely random score by America (that's not a knock to any huge America fans, but it's seriously weird and dates the film more than the animation 😶) 7y
