This book is the debut of Danya Kukafka, author of Noted on an Execution- which I loved.
This debut is another excellent atmospheric psychological thriller. Three outsiders in an average Colorado town are all, one way or another, involved in the murder of 15-year old Lucinda, one of the pretty girls in town.
It‘s good! Not as good as her second book, but it‘s definitely a pick. Thank you again, Heather, for sending me this one 🤍

This was a slow, but enjoyable read for me. Almost poetic mix of the personal with the scientific. Loved getting some insight into the life of a female scientist, and the funding issues all scientists face. Hope she continues to find funding in the age of trump, and hope many trees are planted as a resulted of this book. Found the last chapters particularly moving. Late post but here's my pick for #girlintitle for #readjanuary. I've had this Aussie edition in my TBR pile for years, I remember asking a friend flying from Australia to get it for me. I still haven't found time to read it though.

Here's my contribution to today's #ReadJanuary theme of books with #girlintitle (#girlinthetitle), also #tbr specific.

I would like to point out that the title of the center book (and the one I chose for this post) is super appropriate/relevant to my life right now (see my previous post about performing in my first UCB show tomorrow or any posts about my podcast, #MyWeekInTinder).

#readjanuary #girlintitle this arrived from the library today and I thought I'd use this after seeing @Marchpane saying she'd got the first volume. A diverse illustrated novel and I'm still loving this one. I liked additions to the characters and still really want to know what's happening here. Brian k Vaughan can do no wrong in my books
