Thank you, thank you, thank you @Yuki_Onna for all the chocolate and book - Lindt is my favourite and the nuts sound amazing. The book looks right up my alley too - I'm glad I stacked it 🤣😉

Merry Christmas everyone!

#10beforetheend Ever since I created the list, I've basically ignored it, so this is definitely NOT happening 🤣🤣🤣 @ChaoticMissAdventures

My one (1!) purchase from the book sale I mentioned on #5joysfriday! I went armed with a list, but didn't find any from it 😟

@dabbe Thank you very much for this package, even though I feel slightly guilty as I haven't got round to reading the tagged & subsequent ones yet!
I do have extra motivation to read them now, however, as I've decided I need background information from the Reformation onwards to help with my creative writing project (even if it's going to be taking place nearly a century later 🤣😃)!

#5joysfriday @DebinHawaii
1. Getting my #auldlangspine match & book list earlier than expected! Thanks @monalyisha !
2. I've sent some Littens their Xmas cards & the #jolabokaflodswap, which has arrived to my match.
3. My Mastery Subject Reading Plan is coming along nicely, which is going to help with my creative writing.
4. One of my MCs is finally taking shape.
5. I'm going out for breakfast and a book sale tomorrow morning!

#jolabokaflodswap sent today. @MaleficentBookDragon
Be on the lookout for a pink spotty parcel @Cupcake12 🤣
Photo is of the Lindt chocolate museum in Cologne!

#20thingsaboutme This is one of the hardest parts of #auldlangspine for me every year - I don't want to repeat myself, but I also don't want to scroll through all my posts to find out what I wrote last time 🤣 1-4 and 14-17 are probably repeats!
@monalyisha @Singout

So excited for my #auldlangspine list from @Singout ! I haven't read ANY of them, although I have read the tagged author before & loved it (Braiding Sweetgrass), so I'll probably start there.
Top right shows books I already owned (and/or purchased recently), & bottom right shows books I'm interested in.
Books #2, #5, #6 & #12 aren't appealing to me at mo, but might later in the year! 🤣
Thanks @monalyisha for another 👍 match!

First book on the bingo board completed! #crossoveruniversebooktwo #52bookclub25 @TheAromaofBooks

Conclave just eeks out Woodworking, but it was very close! And How to Write Crime Fiction is my other wild card.

Philosophy, poetry, plays, essays, nonfiction that isn't history-based - which is why I've requested this on my #auldlangspine2026 form. I realise @monalyisha that this may be hard to match for so if some of the fiction genres I've listed/ticked have to be included, that's fine by me! 🤣🤣🤣

I've decided to use this for #titleisaspoiler for #52bookclub25, so that space on December's #bookspinbingo board will be replaced with a mood read. @TheAromaofBooks

December is all about trying to finish reading challenges, so instead of books I've listed the prompts I need to fulfill to complete them. And two mood reads because I failed miserably in November 🤣
Any recommendations for good books for these? The genre chosen was romance.
#bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks

Lots of examples and ideas for a budding crime writer!

#doublespin is a #dnf. @TheAromaofBooks
Although I wanted to know what happened, I didn't like Eleanor's character, and wasn't keen on picking the book back up. I ended up reading the Wikipedia entry!

November #bookspin @TheAromaofBooks
#doublespin was the book club pick (tagged), so I've used the one I'm currently reading for it.
And I've decided on one of the shorter Hardy novels for #9 (Under the Greenwood Tree).

#readingbracket2025 #October @Catsandbooks
TBH, it could have been either, but I chose to read Uproar after getting interested in 18th century art(?) in this one - it was sort of a logical book to pick up after it.

Well, I'm definitely not going to finish any of my current reads by tonight, so here's #octoberstats.

I feel like I'm behind on my challenges, so @TheAromaofBooks can you please add me to your #bookspin list for November? I will be doing the bingo card.

I think some of the modern-day references to British pop culture might go over other countries' heads, but this was very illuminating.

Published next year, and written by one of my Uni friends who studied 18th century studies with me. She's just finalised her thesis for her PhD, and does A LOT with fashion throughout history and literature.

Started attending a new book club in my local library (tagged is our first book), and it depends on what book the librarian can get in as to what we'll be reading (although we've given her a list) as there's multiple book clubs in the council library system, so that's why #2 doesn't have a title!

Online #independentbookshopday #bookmail!

Just attended a talk with Mike Gayle, David Suchet, Ann Cleeves, and Rachel Trethewey at Cheltenham Literature Festival, discussing whether Christie could be considered 'cosy'. It was generally agreed that her settings are cosy, but some of her murders aren't. Suchet & Cleeves were the best speakers.

Book removal & haul! Have tagged the only one I bought - the others were a gift, removal from @squirrelbrain's home, and blind date!

First book of #Gladstones25 finished (although it was my current read before I got here!)

Because I am not stating what prompts I've completed for #atozultimatechallenge on all my reviews, I thought I'd write this out as an update! @AudiobookingWithLeah

Probably NOT the best book for Americans to read at the moment with 🍊 in office (it'll be divisive, depending on your politics), but I flew through this.

Disappointed with this - I wanted to love it.

Thanks to @LeeRHarry for pointing out my error on my last post - this is now correct!
