Behind on reviews because Dad‘s been hospitalized with pneumonia. 😢
I cheered on Amy‘s historic run on Jeopardy as the second longest champion. I was excited to read more about her life and coming out trans. Well, I like her a lot less after reading this. Like Ken Jennings, she‘s a bit smug. Her coming out story was interesting, but I could‘ve cared less about her tarot obsession or thoughts on drug use. 🤷🏻♀️ Not for me!
Easily the most revealing memoir I've ever read. I appreciate Amy's willingness to share so much about her life and experiences as a way to grow people's knowledge and mindsets, even if I could never bring myself to reciprocate! It was also funny and conversational, which is my fave memoir style. #memoir
Interesting book combining Ken Jenning‘s account of his winning streak on Jeopardy and a history of the popularity of trivia and people who like it and like competing about it. And I also like some of the same things that he does.
Starting a book I should have read years ago. Picked up at a Library sale. I am a less accomplished trivia lover than Ken. While I am just gradually getting through my other books, this will go MUCH faster
#12Booksof2021 #2ndBookof2021 I had a really hard time picking a favorite book for #February, because there were 3 that I really liked. However, this one was my favorite of the three, as I've always been a Jeopardy fan. My husband even got me this Alex Trebek funko for Christmas. Anxious People and The Midnight Library were both close contenders for favorite books in February.
