I‘ve seen other folks using this book for #lesotho, so I thought I would, too! And I liked it! I liked the story and characters and especially how it focuses on strong, badass women. I didn‘t like that the last section was a completely different story, but I‘m not a comics reader and maybe that‘s just how they work. 🤷🏼‍♀️

#ReadingAfrica2022

Librarybelle I‘m not sure about that either…I‘m also not a comics reader. But, glad you enjoyed this! 1y

Definitely more than I ever needed to know about the royals! Some parts were really difficult to get through ( Andrew & Jeffrey Epstein) and some parts I skimmed. The paparazzi are really vultures, being a royal kind of sucks, im not sure how I feel about Meghan, sorry for the loss of HM, I hope Charles can make his country proud, Diana‘s boys= national treasures & props to Camilla -she really stuck it out. And bonus #Lesotho #ReadingAfrica22

MaGoose I agree with everything you said. I would not want to be a royal or married to one, especially in the UK. Royals in other countries seem to be more low-key. 1y
Cinfhen Yeah that‘s definitely true @MaGoose you hardly ever hear about the other royals!! Last time I heard about Princess Stephanie of Monaco she was dating Rob Lowe 😁😂 (edited) 1y
Librarybelle Hooray for the bonus!! 1y

Cinfhen I know @Librarybelle 🤗🤗🤗 1y
Megabooks I just finally got on the list for the audiobook at the library. 1y
BarbaraBB I sincerely love your review, you almost make me want to read it but no, I am not that interested in them 1y
Cinfhen It was a lot more than I ever needed to know @BarbaraBB but it‘s entertaining @Megabooks who reads the audiobook?? 1y
BarbaraBB That made me laugh, “much more than I needed to know” 😂 1y
TrishB We know far too much just from the press, I would not want to read this. It‘s all outdated anyway and truly a bad obsession in this country. 1y
Megabooks I think Tina herself does. I‘ve got a 6 week wait on it so it probably won‘t come in time for NFNov. 1y

This is a perfect little book to learn all about #Lesotho. Though I‘d probably retitle it to “How Not to Die in Lesotho.” It is an extraordinarily remote country with few accommodations for an ordinary traveler. If you want to hike and camp, then be sure to be wary of flash floods and lightning in the mountains and avoid areas frequented by drug smugglers and military. Bring your own bike and “legs of steel.” It doesn‘t accommodate cyclists ⬇️

Texreader either. If you‘re hiking beware there are no hiking trails, just paths. Always check with the local chief before pitching a tent. Have fun! But I may skip this trip. 😁 #readingafrica2022 @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB 2y
Soubhiville 🤣 great travel advice! 2y
Librarybelle Sounds like more armchair traveling than actual traveling! 😂 2y
BarbaraBB Book sounds good! 2y

This was just published in July 2022, and couldn't come at a better time since I needed a book for #Lesotho for #readingAfrica2022. And it's free with a Kindle Unlimited membership.

I started it today and it's quite short. The first part is the history of Lesotho, which is the history of Southern Africa. Very interesting.

RebL I‘m admiring this project of yours. 2y
Texreader @RebL I am having loads of fun. I've managed to read so many books for the Africa challenge, and sometimes I get depressed that I might not be able to find a book for every country. So last night I tackled the search yet again, and came up with some spectacular finds! 2y

I‘ve spent the evening scouring Amazon for free ebooks for #readingafrica2022. Some are free with a Prime subscription and some through a Kindle Unlimited subscription. I‘ll have to add some of these to the Litsy database.

Countries covered from top to bottom: #Lesotho, #GuineaBissau, #CapeVerde, and #Algeria. @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB

Librarybelle Thanks for posting this!! 2y

#newin

I'll be using this for #lesotho next year for #ReadingAfrica2022, as Wakanda is based there, and it's going to be difficult to find one for.

@Librarybelle @BarbaraBB

BarbaraBB I guess I will be reading this one too ☺️Lesotho seems very difficult! 3y
jenniferw88 @BarbaraBB there is a number 1 ladies detective agency book partly set there too, but don't know which one. 3y
