Fairy Tale | Stephen King

This book was emotionally satisfying for me in a way that a lot of King‘s books aren‘t. Mainly, I think he wrapped it up well, which he doesn‘t always do. Fairy Tale does drag in a few places, especially after Charlie enters the fairy tale realm — some judicious editing would‘ve helped — but it‘s a solid story, and I liked it.

KathyWheeler @BarkingMadRead I‘ve been bad about keeping up with the #loserclub books. I‘ve also had this since it came out. I was halfway finished and my dog ate my copy! I saw it in the library the other day and was in the mood to finish it. 2y

TLuvs This book felt like a farewell or love story to the Horror genré! But I loved it ❤️ 1y

I started reading Stephen King in November of this year. I read Later first, followed by Shawshank Redemption, then I picked up 11/22/63. 11/22/63 was my last and favorite book of 2022. I fell in love with the characters. I even found myself (momentarily)empathizing with the characters I thought I would hate. I was completely drawn into this story and found myself fantasizing about a time filled with cigarette smoke and absent of social media.

Snowed In | Rachel Hawthorne

Well if I ever needed an excuse to stay in and read on a Saturday, last night's snow storm came through. There's enough snow in my parking lot that I'm snowed in until our plow comes to let me out.
