I last read this two years ago for a #maidensofmurder readalong on Instagram. Now I want to get back to the chronological order of the #agathachristieclub because I fell off the wagon for a bit! (Hope @Bambolina_81 is doing OK, btw.) I'm happy that I remembered whodunit this time ? Hastings was praised by Poirot for being bang average, lol & Poirot was as obnoxiously cryptic as ever—"the torn page, of course!", etc. Fun & snarky; a good read.

Read Much Ado About Nothing with the delightful #ShakespeareReadAlong gang and The Secret History for the #readingenvyreadalong. Both were a blast and the discussions were fun and insightful . Reread the Christies for #maidensofmurder on Instagram, but as soon as I heard about Litsy's own #agathachristieclub I ditched the maidens faster than Hastings can figure out what Poirot is up to 😂 ❤️

It's certainly reads at a different pace to the others I have read. I can't help but read the dialogue with a strong plummy British accent!

bobregina I'm not a big fan of Tommy and Tuppence, but this was the only book I read. I hope I change my mind for the next one! Anyway I love Agatha's writing, so it was a good book 📚 7y

Bambolina_81 @thegirlwiththelibrarybag I feel exactly the same about Walliams. I think there was a 'And Then There Were None' adaptation with Aiden Turner though...🤔...perhaps I'll have a little letch and see if I can find..I mean a little 'look' for it 😂🤣😂 7y

Sarah83 So I didn't like it as much as I like the ones with Miss Marple and Poirot. But I remember, when I was younger, I didn't like Poirot as well. So I'll give the second book a try and have a look, if I like this one more. 😃 7y

thegirlwiththelibrarybag I have such mixed feelings about him in general (a work colleague recently suggested that he was like Roald Dahl and I said NOoO with such horror that the statement was retracted...) he generally seems like a huge pain in the arse (I watch a lot of British panel shows on YouTube) so yeah - couldn't bring myself to watch him in some of my favourite AC books. I've seen the adaptation you speak of... it's a mini series and very good! 🤤🤤🤤 (edited) 7y

cobwebmoth I had never read a Tommy and Tuppence book before, so I didn't have any expectations. It's very different from her other stories, but I still liked it. I enjoyed the dialogue between them. 7y

Rachellynnwright I agree with you @cobwebmoth , I'm new to Agatha and didn't know what to expect, but so far I've liked both stories. I'm looking forward to Mrs. Marple! 7y

Dragon I got sidetracked so I haven't finished my reread. Tommy and Tuppence were my favourites as a teen , but Hercule Poirot is now my favourite with Miss Marple a close second. 7y

batsy I used to hate the Tommy and Tuppence books. I read this for the second time a few months earlier for the #maidensofmurder readalong on Instagram (which I promptly abandoned for our Litsy Christie group ?). I liked it better this time around but I'm not so fond of the element of whimsy or cutesiness that these books tend to have. Also the "rah-rah yay for the British empire!" politics I could do without ? 7y

Dumb Witness: A Hercule Poirot Mystery | Agatha Christie

This is one of my favorite Christie books, especially as it features Bob the Dog 🐶 I think my favorite thing about it is that Poirot has to solve a murder after receiving a letter from the victim, and having to prove that it was murder.
