#AbbaInAugust One of my favorite reads in 2018, Roy & Celestial have an unbreakable bond until life throws them a curve ball they never saw coming. Initially told through letters the reader discovers their family history, personal plights and unseen burdens. #LayAllYourLoveOnMe Never before have I felt so conflicted for two characters. Excellent novel🙌🏻

Where the Crawdads Sing | Delia Owens

so-so

This novel‘s strength lies with the author‘s obvious passion for nature- these descriptions lushly bring the North Carolina wetlands to life over the course of the Marsh Girl‘s life... the mystery plot keeps the pages turning but there are some historical inconsistencies and characters that don‘t always feel fully developed that stop this from being a true pick for me... but the main character certainly never feels like #OneOfUs in her small town!

When twins Cath and Wren head off for college, Wren decides they should live apart for the first time. The outcome is that #oneofus is lonely and #oneofus fits in just fine.
I really liked this YA novel for a light read capturing how it feels to be an awkward first year. Ah the memories! 😂Tower in pic is from my own university😊

There is a lot to consider packed this little novella. A young man's family rises from the slums of Bangalore to the rich neighborhood in a matter of weeks and the family dynamic shifts irrevocably. As the young man marries and brings his wife into his tightly knit family, suddenly it becomes clear that she is not #oneofus and therefore may not ever fit in... an unsettling story!

Reviewsbylola My husband and I each have our own bookshelf but he rarely reads and I‘m so tempted to steal some of his shelves. His are 3/4 full whereas mine has books piled in front of it and on top of it! 😂😂 7y

Kalalalatja @Reviewsbylola my bf has close to one shelf. He‘s really not a reader, he reads 1-2 books a year om vacation, so I don‘t feel bad about taking up the space 😂😂 although he vetoed it being only books, so I had to accept some decorations as well 🙄 7y

When I was little I wanted so bad to be a hero of the Lance! 😤

I used to play for hours in the bush behind our house fighting Draconians and searching for dragon orbs. 🏡 😂 🐉

Come to think of it...I still want to go to Krynn and hang out at the Inn of The Last Home in Solace and eat some of Otik's spiced potatoes... 🤔🙋‍♂️
